  1. Grampa has been discharged from the Kaiser hospital and returned to his Retirement facility. He's in a single suite, living in isolation for 5 days before he'll return to his apartment with Grandma.

His symptoms were headache with massive pressure behind the eyes, leg cramps keeping him up at night, lethargy and shortness of breath. He didn't have coughing or sneezing, sore throat, nausea, or fever. Kaiser treated his COVID via IV.

IF YOU FEEL ROTTEN, DON'T FORGET THAT IT MIGHT BE COVID. 🩷

  2. 3 new t-shirt designs today:
-Elect a rapist, expect to get fucked.
    -Go back We screwed up
-How many kind, beautiful people have I killed just by paying my taxes?

  3. These babies are only 5 weeks old, and they're about 6 weeks away from fledging. Here, they practice using their wings. The nearest baby is called Luna, the far baby is called Sandy and behind them is their mother, Jackie. 🦅🩷🦅🩷🦅

  4. New sign! "Diaper Donnie" 40"x30" with reinforced styrofoam core and ziptie/shoelace handles. Took me a good 5 hours to complete. Designed to withstand gusty winds despite its hefty size.

  5. OTD sometime in the 80s I slept my first dry night without my bedwetting alarm. It took over a year of wearing that damned thing before I was having dry nights as the norm.

My mother lovingly created pockets & snaps for the components to install into my pajamas & underwear, & my father lovingly rose from bed each time the alarm went off, stumbling into my room to shake me awake & guide me to the bathroom.

I wanted above all else to be able to go to a sleepover like normal kids. We did it! 🩷

My neighbor said to me, "The people of Gaza should not have allowed themselves to be ruled by terrorists if they didn't want to be destroyed."

I replied, "So are we Americans are asking to be destroyed?"

This is a story about my neighbor flying a MAGA flag. 😶

  7. My new Nestflix obsession: beaver kits in Washington. Their noises are hilarious! 🥰

  8. My town has a small with a flight school, so traffic overhead is relatively constant. Sometimes it's really annoying.

Being on social media for about 6 years has given me a better understanding of how fortunate I am to be "annoyed" by a overhead, rather than "terrified" of overhead. My brothers and sisters in Ukraine, Lebanon, Palestine and more do not have the luxury of being annoyed. A passes overhead & they take cover.

    My is a . 🌸

  9. I'd like to see Tom Steyer drop out of the race and publicly shadow each move made by our next governor. A press release criticizing or echoing every policy decision made.

As a newcomer to politics, he owes us a trial run without having to elect him. The "Billionaire without political experience" thing has been a bust so far. 🇺🇲

  10. When I'm outside watering, one of the squawkers has trained me to turn it to the mist setting for him to have a shower. 🩷

"I don't vote cuz it's pointless" simply means you've had a loss. Do you quit doing something the moment you lose?

  12. Accidentally watched a kayaking horror movie when I settled down to see Charlize Theron in "Apex" -- it was great! My greatest fears played out on the screen - a real "would you rather encounter a bear in the woods or a man in the woods?" kind of story. 🌸

  13. 🍑My peach tree hasn't leafed out yet. In researching the matter, I learned about "Chill Hours." Chill hours are the accumulated hours of time spent below 45° & for fruit trees to be woken from they require a particular amount of Chill Hours.

My tree, for instance, requires 1100 Hours & this year it only got 850. Therefore, my peach tree is stuck in a semi-dormancy. This will delay growth by a couple of months. I'll eventually see leaves & fruit but they may be meager.

  14. My elderly grandmother is having increasing difficulty forming words and speaking. I made her a communication device.

It's 4 double-sided sheets, laminated, containing 8 groupings of Grandma's most common requests. When she is unable to talk, she can point to her directive in order to communicate her needs to her caregivers.

Alternately, she can plan ahead using a whiteboard marker. 🌸

  15. Is anyone here familiar with using PECS sheets or other point-at-what-I-want tools for seniors that are losing their verbal ability?

I'm making a poster for my Grandma's bedside with options for her to point at, in order to communicate her needs better to family and attendants.

    Looking for your ideas! 🩷

  16. 🎉 Today's like a second birthday for me... I've now lived free of dope for 2 years. was nearly an impossible feat and I FUCKING DID IT!

For anyone considering sobriety for themselves, let me assure you that STAYING is a million times easier than GETTING sober.

The transition from "user" to "sober" took me years to complete. It was SO worth it. I know that if I fall back into use, I'd rather go thru again to get to where I am now than to indulge the . 🌸🩷

  17. To make a seed snail:

    1. Cut footlong lengths of supportive plastic sheeting - I like to use bubble wrap - approx 4-5" wide

    2. Pack a half-inch layer of seed starting mix along the length of the plastic. Imagine that you're preparing a sushi roll or a jelly log. Firm the soil along the 2 long ends of the plastic - these will be the top and bottom of your seed snail.

    3. Gently roll up from one end to the other, securing the final roll with tape.

  18. Fuel prices:
Cheapest gas today in my Central Valley CA town is $4.40. Dad was in AZ yesterday and he paid $2.60. He traveled thru Tehachapi ($4.60) and Bakersfield ($3.99).

This is the most concise summary of US-Iran relations that I've seen. Worth a few minutes' reading. 🌸

  20. America needs a draft, and fast.

Historically, people like the Proud Boys and school shooters get swept up into the draft, and they come home straightened out or they don't come home.

Currently, they instead become mall cops and J6ers and ICE agents.

    Just sayin.
