Hydroponic spinach is going well after a lot of babying.

The tatsoi, poblanos, and pumpkins are doing good too.

A single musk melon is... problematic, which is why I direct sowed about a dozen the other day. Let's hope for at least one mate.

It's pouring rain outside. Forecast calls for more rains tomorrow. My rain barrels & buckets will be filled well. Sunshine returns on Wednesday.
I'll thinning out this large pot, full of mixed carrots & some self seeded tomatoes, on Wednesday morning before going to work. I wasn't expecting that many carrot seeds to germinate. I used a bag of 3 year old seeds to sow this pot.
I grow all my root vegetables in big pots for easier harvesting. All my yams & potatoes are growing out of large felted bags. I have beetroot & turnips growing together out of a large Rubbermaid bin.

I finished my gardening tasks just before raindrops came. Got most of my thinning done. Got all the cucumbers & cantaloupe seedlings repotted. Transplanted more salad greens & peas.

Added my perlite/vermiculite mixture & mixed it deep into soil in pots before transplanting/repotting. I scattered some over my soil remediation areas too.

Time to rest a bit before dinner.

A lot of my #food comes from #UK (hooray). #Spain (good fresh and in #europe1 and South Africa or further afield.

As an urban grower (seedlings under lights already) I am very limited. Trying to persuade family to use intensive growing and composting at least. I have three compost bins. I have cherry wood decaying all over our tiny 30ft garden.

End of April may get some #seedlings outside. Herbs such as chives, Greek basil etc.

The slugs are getting frisky and our irises (from a neighbour leaving them out for free take away) grown in pots. May #flower this year. We have an ancient crop of lily of the valley about to bloom...

Nature is resilient.
