  5. La poignée de main, c’est à la base un contrôle de sécurité : je te montre que je n’ai pas d’arme… et je vérifie que toi non plus. Geste guerrier recyclé en politesse moderne. #Histoire #Pouvoir #Psychologie #NonVerbal

  6. #Nonverbal expression can be so beautiful. Too often we call it #violence. I wish we called it art more often. The glory of music. The transcendence of visual communication. Such a powerful voice for unity. How do #children have such #consciousness pre-verbally? He told to be as little children. 🩷🩷🩷

  7. My elderly grandmother is having increasing difficulty forming words and speaking. I made her a communication device.

It's 4 double-sided sheets, laminated, containing 8 groupings of Grandma's most common requests. When she is unable to talk, she can point to her directive in order to communicate her needs to her caregivers.

Alternately, she can plan ahead using a whiteboard marker. 🌸

  12. Is anyone here familiar with using PECS sheets or other point-at-what-I-want tools for seniors that are losing their verbal ability?

I'm making a poster for my Grandma's bedside with options for her to point at, in order to communicate her needs better to family and attendants.

    Looking for your ideas! 🩷

I so love this! It reminds me that my most common way of communicating in scenes are body motion and non-verbal auditory expressions. No one playing with or observing me misunderstands how I’m feeling.

My most difficult challenge with scenes is starting them in the first place. So many sensory and social cue barriers! In private sex parties, I’m way more comfy going straight to the play rooms and let the touch cues do their magic.

  25. There is something weird appeasing and calming about suddenly feeling non-verbal (some people refer to it as verbal shutdown).

Everything is so quiet and calm. My head slows down quite a lot as well, probably because I'm depressed and shutting down, but in a strange way, what is supposed to be a negative symptoms actually fills like my brain slowly resetting itself back to a safe state. It's empty, but I enjoy the stillness of it, it's calm. :bunhdcomfy:
