My town has a small #airport with a flight school, so traffic overhead is relatively constant. Sometimes it's really annoying.
Being on social media for about 6 years has given me a better understanding of how fortunate I am to be "annoyed" by a #plane overhead, rather than "terrified" of #aircraft overhead. My brothers and sisters in Ukraine, Lebanon, Palestine and more do not have the luxury of being annoyed. A #drone passes overhead & they take cover.
My #annoyance is a #luxury. 🌸

🍑My peach tree hasn't leafed out yet. In researching the matter, I learned about "Chill Hours." Chill hours are the accumulated hours of time spent below 45° & for fruit trees to be woken from #dormancy they require a particular amount of Chill Hours.
My #peach tree, for instance, requires 1100 #Chill Hours & this year it only got 850. Therefore, my peach tree is stuck in a semi-dormancy. This will delay growth by a couple of months. I'll eventually see leaves & fruit but they may be meager.

All 3 eaglets are doing well. Mom Jackie is covered in snow, sheltering those sweet babies with her 7000+ waterproof feathers.The 2 Fort Meyers eaglets died in January after consuming an infected bird that had been fed to them by their parent eagle. The autopsy showed that they were killed by avian flu. Their parents are currently asymptomatic but being closely monitored. For the chicks, their death came after signs of fatigue & seizures. 🌸
