  1. I need a new #carryon #luggage, a #trolley and I want your opinions:

I'm leaning towards 2 wheels (in contrast to 4 or 8 wheels) because:
    - better on rough surface
    - doesn't float around in bus/train (8-wheelers with wheel locks by #Hinomoto exist very rarely)
    - was OK so far for me, so the advantages of more wheels are not worth the downsides(?)

Furthermore, I'm inclined to take a semi soft case (in contrast to soft or hard cases - latter in Polycarbonite or Polypropylene):
    - much more robust when handled after occasional check-in
    - can be squeezed when necessary
    - supports sufficiently for, e.g., transport of LP records
    - has a certain structure that supports packing with #packingcubes (you need those!)
    - no scratches

    Must haves:
    - airplane compatible size
    - side-handle
    - expandable top handle
    - good and large wheels

    Not necessary:
    - internal straps and compartments

Is it really worth the price when buying something beyond the 80€ class of #trolleys?

    Challenge my positions!

  6. Or forget the kids, I just want to bring back the Fairmount Park #trolleys.

I like the idea of open trolley cars for enjoying nature (and maybe reducing risks from airborne disease).

  11. This map of historic #Yakima #trolleys built on remix.com makes me want to make a similar interactive online map of the historic #streetcar lines here in #BellinghamWA. Map via: facebook.com/yakimavalleytroll

  12. @mikemccaffrey Makes wonder about Jantzen Beach…the north terminus? I know very early on Woodlawn (now the triangle) provided an overnight stop on the way to Vancouver. #trolleys #trams #trains #parks #publicTransportation #urbanTransit #PDX #Portland

  14. A visit to the #Boston 🇺🇸 #MBTA “Green Line” light-rail #Trolleys. #Copley Station, pictured here, opened in 1914. On the photos we see a “Type 7” vehicle, built in the 1980s. The railfan would obviously take a ride … just for the pleasure of travelling on board one of those 😉.

  15. A couple of the 27 famous "trolley cats" that make their home at the Ft. Smith Trolley Museum in Ft Smith, Arkansas. They enjoy riding the trolleys and making visitors feel welcome. Years ago the museum staff gave love and protection to a stray, and it only grew from there. If you'd like to help their mission to preserve both trolleys and felines, I'm sure they would appreciate your donation very much.

Not only #Hungarian households and universities struggle with the skyrocketing #energy prices but also the #local #governments. Many of them made draconic cuts in the different service types they provide for their #citizens from spas to #publicTransport.

  22. For the worksession called Networks with an attitude in Antwerpen, by #constant #bolwerk and so much more, we only used the train, #trolleys and a #trailer to transport electric cables, camera, projector, coffeemaker, kettle, thermoses, paper, pens.. With every change in venue, a trolley distribution was done amongst the participants.
The last transport back was done today!
