For anyone interested in land restoration in Seattle, or maybe even the PNW in general, West Seattle Blog posted a community presentation about ongoing efforts to restore Schmitz Park, which is a park of preserved ancient forest + a freshwater creek in West Seattle (with a trail that leads to Alki Beach).
