A section of the Cades Cove loop road early on a foggy morning. The sun hadn't even risen yet when I reached to parking area to wait for the park ranger to open the gate, but it was definitely worth it. Even though there were about 15 other cars waiting, too, the cove felt incredibly peaceful that morning. It didn't last long, though. By the time I got all the way around the cove a few hours later, traffic was already starting to pick up.
