Yes, that is a good description of the #IranWar.
Missiles were not miscounted. Trump and Hegseth assumed there would be enough missiles, especially because they thought Iranians would quickly surrender. They were wrong and their lack of concern with our lack of missiles was gross negligence.

I know from personal experience that the Department of Defense has people who conduct Vulnerability Assessments which should identify problems such as this missile shortage. Trump decided to start an illegal war, with too few weapons to succeed.
