Went to an information session about the Philly Fan Fest that is going to be absolutely locking down my neighborhood in June and July during the World Cup and boy howdy is that going to be something else. They are discouraging people from driving to it and giving residents special parking permits, plus they're going to ramp up public transportation, but they are outlawing Lyft and Uber in my neighborhood so it's lucky I don't go out at night much.
When I say locking down my neighborhood, I mean I live a block away from the site. Whee!

Honestly, one of the huge pluses for #philly, of the US cities where you can live car free without giving up a social life, it is easily the most affordable.
