When I moved to Boston, I deliberately chose a car free lifestyle. I genuinely enjoy and am proud of the #MBTA.

The new onboard fare collection on the #MBTA is a complete failure. At Gilman — the busiest station on the GLX — I see 0% (zero percent) of people tap on.

When I do, my teenage daughter rolls her eyes at me, like I'm an embarrassment to the family. And she is, normally, a _pathological_ rule-follower.

I'm all for free fare for the T, but it should be on purpose.
