A LOT OF TALK THIS MORNING about calls to "reform" #SCotUS.
Both Rep. Ro Khanna on #FnS and Sen. Corey Booker on #MtP called for "expanding the court" & "term limits" (Khanna went even further, limiting every prez to "2 appointments"… leaving a vacancy to the next prez if they already got their two.) 🤦♂️ 😒
NO NO NO NO.
There IS a way to reform the court w/o resorting to likely unconstitutional modifications sure to be challenged by the #GOP:

I remind everyone Justice Roberts "saved" the #ACA with basically the same argument:"The government can tax you for breathing if they want to."
Seeing him raise this same argument again reinforces my argument that the best way to quickly & dramatically curb gun violence is to #TaxGunpowder #TaxCordite #ThinkOutsideTheBox

I found these decorative abominations on clearance this weekend for $3.99 each. Cloches can be pricey so I hope to tear these apart and use them to host my felted creatures. Will have to handle gingerly so as not break the glass. I like that they have lighting and are rechargeable. If successful, these will make lovely displays. #ThinkOutsideTheBox #maker #repurpose

Note his plan to purchase "500 rounds of ammunition". I've LONG advocated for a #GunpowderTax raising the cost to around $100/bullet (not unreasonable to if it's to protect your family.)

One incredible irony is that… while #Republicans accuse #Democrats of having "an #OpenBorder" policy… NOTHING would do MORE to curb illegal #immigration & reduce the number of #immigrants moving here "permanently" than an "Open" border.If the U.S. issued "work visas" (sponsored by their employer) and placed dozens of #Checkpoints along the border (checking for contraband), migrants could remain in #Mexico and commute across the border daily, saving Billions. #ThinkOutsideTheBox

Actually, we don't need to "ban" private jets to mitigate the damage they do.There are ways for them to use less fuel and minimize/eliminate exhaust.
Embed a "slingshot" in runways (like on aircraft carriers) to launch planes using less fuel. Once in flight, use #Hybrid engines for less exhaust and better mileage. #ThinkOutsideTheBox
