Me: I’m going to get the mail. I need you to be inside the front door with a giant Slushie. Don’t open the door until I’m on the porch or we’ll never get the house cool again.
Carolyn: But I don’t have a Slushie.
Me: Improvise.So I stumble across the lawn, get the mail, reach the porch, open the door …. And Carolyn sprays me in the face with a spray bottle.
Carolyn: I’m resourceful. -

Weekend therapy - rebuild cart motor
InfoSec is draining. Weekends are for rebuilding!
This weekend, had a Yamaha golf cart that started having issues moving. Ugh. Electric vehicles! Problem was 3 of 4 brushes were worn and stuck. Could get cart moving by nudging a bit.
Bought new brush kit. Cleaned brush assembly. Cleaned coils. Polished armature - did not think or want to take it to a lathe. Works!
Lessons - look at al tools you have. What you need. Improvise. Save the day. Or rats, just like we do in InfoSec. Oh well, back to work tomorrow #infosec #improvise #electricvehicles -

MiM is a series of intergenerational workshops hosted by Arts for Art and led by professional improvising musicians! These workshops are for a wide group of generations - we have had participants from 8 years old to early college age to parents of children! The workshops build upon a young person’s natural ability to improvise, while introducing them to the world of music. With improvisation as the basis of our pedagogy, our teachers give students the capacity to create music, both collaboratively and individually, whether the student is beginner or advanced.
