Weekend therapy - rebuild cart motor
InfoSec is draining. Weekends are for rebuilding!
This weekend, had a Yamaha golf cart that started having issues moving. Ugh. Electric vehicles! Problem was 3 of 4 brushes were worn and stuck. Could get cart moving by nudging a bit.
Bought new brush kit. Cleaned brush assembly. Cleaned coils. Polished armature - did not think or want to take it to a lathe. Works!
Lessons - look at al tools you have. What you need. Improvise. Save the day. Or rats, just like we do in InfoSec. Oh well, back to work tomorrow #infosec #improvise #electricvehicles -
