"Tamed," Marian Wawrzeniecki, 1910.

An archaeologist, historian, ethnographer, and only incidentally a painter, Warsaw-born Wawrzeniecki (1863-1943) was a noted eccentric and a bit of a fraud.

From an artistic viewpoint, he had a very individual style; he'd had some training in art but abandoned the formal style he'd been taught and instead embraced his own approach. While classified as a Symbolist painter, he was really more of a Modernist, painting solely to achieve his own vision.

His work reflects Slavic folklore and mythology, often depicting witches and pagan gods, and he's considered a significant figure in the rise of Slavic neopaganism. Many of his works can be taken in multiple ways; this could be an illustration of a legend, or a symbol of humanity conquering nature or evil.

He did some fairly important work as an archaeologist, but also published transcriptions of assorted ancient and medieval documents that historians have since figured out he forged. Exactly why he did that is unknown.

From the National Museum in Warsaw.

Professor Phew and His Very Special Cat – Chapter 8

Relaxing on the beach but some people can be quite annoying.

The story

Professor Peter Phew is a very clever man who invents devices and machines, things that are practical, things that are not so practical and things that are downright impossible either to build, or if they could be built, then to use. His greatest invention, perhaps, is his time and space travelling machine that when normally disguised looks like a portaloo. Why a portaloo? Well, nobody notices them when they arrive or disappear. Have you seen one recently? Is it still there? It could be the professor.

A very special and mysterious cat called Mara lived in Peter’s house. Mara’s completely black with piercing green eyes. She seemed to have changed since she and the professor fell out feeling very dizzy one day from of one of the machines that he had built. The experience appeared to have given her some special powers that even the professor could not understand and that she is certainly not going to let him know about.

Read all about their adventures in and around their town, Eldington, as Mara helps the professor and keeps an eye on his chaotic life. There are some problems to solve and the professor’s machines will certainly help him and Mara to sort them out. But she is certainly not going back in the machine again that made her very dizzy.

My favorite LGBTQ+ character is Katie from the film "The Mitchells vs. the Machines". I relate to Katie because I feel a bit quirky, eccentric, and creative, though socially awkward. I’m interested in and obsessed with cinema and filmmaking. While she started creating cinema at an early age, I didn’t start animating until 2021.

Mind Muscle Connection as a Skill for Effective Workouts 💪

Mind–muscle connection is your ability to intentionally focus on and feel a specific muscle working during an exercise. 🧠

☑️ Start with a “connection set,” not your top set

☑️ Use “feel” cues that change mechanics

☑️ Own the eccentric + pause where you’re weakest

☑️ Stabilize everything that isn’t the target

#workout #exercise #reps #eccentric #onlinecoach

📈 Tempo and Eccentric for Hypertrophy 🔥

Tempo and eccentrics matter for hypertrophy because they help you create more high-quality tension where it counts on the target muscle while improving control, technique, and consistency from rep to rep.

💥 The Eccentric Is a High-Tension Opportunity

🐢 Slow ≠ Light — It Means Intentional

🎯 Eccentrics Improve Muscle Targeting

⏸️ Pauses Increase Loaded Stretch Tension

Eccentric overload and negative training are advanced training techniques that focus on the eccentric (lengthening) phase of a movement, which occurs when a muscle is actively lengthening under load.

💪 Dumbbell Alternating Chest Press 💪

Performing the alternating dumbbell chest press to maximize chest and triceps engagement while maintaining safety and control.

1️⃣ Start with Both Weights at the Top

2️⃣ Keep Your Core Tight

3️⃣ Controlled Tempo

#dumbbell #dumbbellpress #chestpress #chestworkout #control #tempo #form #technique #movement #reps #eccentric #muscleactivation #onlinecoach #onlinepersonaltraining

📈 Building a Bigger Chest 🏋️

Understanding these five points is crucial because each one targets a different but essential aspect of chest development.

1️⃣ Prioritize Compound Presses

2️⃣ Train the Upper Chest with Intention

3️⃣ Use Progressive Overload

4️⃣ Mind-Muscle Connection is Crucial

Advanced Techniques for Muscle Gain ➕💪

These methods should be used strategically and not all at once, ideal for overcoming plateaus or intensifying a training phase.

1️⃣ Drop Sets for Maximum Fatigue

2️⃣ Rest-Pause Training for Intensity

3️⃣ Supersets for Volume and Efficiency

✅ Why Dumbbell Preacher Curls Matter! 💪

1️⃣ Pick a moderate weight that allows controlled reps. Going too heavy leads to swinging or reduced range of motion, defeating the purpose of isolation.

2️⃣ Curl the dumbbell up slowly (~2 seconds), squeeze the bicep hard at the top.

3️⃣ Lower even slower (~3–4 seconds) to maximize time under tension and eccentrics for hypertrophy.

#dumbbell #preachercurls #workout #exercise #reps #eccentric #concentric #personaltrainer #onlinefitnesscoach

⏳ Time Under Tension for Muscle Gain ⌛️

Understanding Time Under Tension (TUT) is important because it gives you control over one of the most effective variables in muscle growth and training intensity.

📈 Increased Muscle Fiber Activation

📈 Greater Metabolic Stress

📈 Improved Muscle Control and Form

📈 Enhanced Eccentric Loading
