Any software that is so hostile and riddled with side-effects that safe refactoring steps by Martin Fowlers #Refactoring are the only option left to get anything done is basically a #RubeGoldbergMachine and has long ceased to be "reason"-able.
To have a codebase which is aligned with a consistent mental model from a minimal number of orthogonal concepts that allows everyone to reason about the software and how to change it consistently is underestimated and priceless.

@arialdo i think the problem is that it's very hard to showcase a nice workflow change that applies to many.
IMO #emacs strength comes from one point:
You use it as is until it annoys you enough. Either you then leave it right there and then or you realize you can change that small annoyance by writing a couple of lines. Rinse and repeat. Suddenly you love that little #rubegoldbergmachine you just made.
That endurance part is the problem and solution. I guess you just have to be that kind of person for it to stick. My init.el gets fewer and fewer lines and packages every day.

Spent the last 3 hours trying to figure out how to migrate my #dokku instance from its deprecated #ubuntu 18.04 release to a new 22.04 one.
With a side order of using #traefik as the proxy instead of #nginx. It's proving tricky.
Mostly cause my #ansible is well out of date, oh, and my #terraform... and my #dokku.
