  1. Okay hivemind: What is the best bait for a spring loaded #mousetrap ??

We put out several with chocolate spread last night and when I went down at midnight, I saw one run in front of three. And this morning there are droppings next to one.

    Not pleased.

  6. Gaza has major rodent problem.

One of the most efficient mouse traps I've ever used is a 20L bucket, soda can or bottle, a metal rod and some peanut butter.

Put water and oil in the bucket to prevent them from climbing out, place a ramp for rodent to climb (or dig it into the ground) and you catch lots of them every night.

We used them in Ghana with great success. We used to catch 15-20 rodents per night using 4 of these.

Ask me if you need instructions.

PS. Using oil and water is forbidden in France, because it's considered cruel to the animals. You can add poison to the water to make it "humane".

PS2. Rats were used in our tree planting holes in Ghana, used to dig deep holes with a garden drill, dropped one or 2 rats, covered with kitchen waste and twicks plus some compost then the plant and filled the hole with the baby tree.

"Professor Gadget, what wonders do you have in store for me today?"

"Look at this match box. You open it, like so, and a mouse comes out. Very handy when you want to scare unsuspecting victims."

    "Devilish!"

"And here I have a mousetrap. You open it, like so, and a match comes out. Quite useful if you want to set yourself on fire."

    "I'll say!"

  15. Today I changed my old "Bosch" joystick into a #MouseTrap 🕹

MouseTrap supports Twinstick controls but for these type of games buttons work better for me than a stick.

I digged out my old joystick with a history back to 1985. The console enclosure I made of wood and in a wooden plate I had two CX40 mounted to play #Robotron on my #C64.

I still can imagine how tidy it was built by my 14-year-old self... and then it got changed several times over decades and became a mess😉 If you wonder how the Roman Empire could fail, here you see😂

Slaughtered a joystick and integrated its rapidfire unit but the chip broke some years ago. We are the Borg😂

Added A/B button functionality when I got my #Atari7800 and added a switch to turn it off as it caused trouble on the Amiga.

Now I've put the 7800 B button on the little black button from the broken rapidfire unit and wired the dpad on a second cable.

    Mouse control to major Tom😎

Have to make key templates for #Stargate and #Missile Command 😂

    I'm glad she's feeling better!

Multiple sources tell me that mothballs don't repel mice. However, I have first hand experience with this #mousetrap, and it really works.

The down side: Since a bucket of water is involved, it won't work in freezing temps. So it'll stop protecting my unheated shed in a few weeks.

  30. Couldn't find my 20 year old #DIY #mousetrap and bought a fancy fast kill electrocution mousetrap. After days and no death mice, found back my DIY trap and caught two mice in one go.
