Simple retries can make a bad situation worse. Stop DDOSing your own API.
A linear 5-retry loop holds threads too long. Use exponential backoff with jitter and a circuit breaker. Fast-fail when a service is down to keep the rest of your site responsive.

火燒不去的那點甜把母親最後心意存活起來

“我一夜之間被迫長大

學識帶住兩種重量行落去
一種叫牽掛，一種叫釋懷”有些人不屬於娛樂圈，但比任何明星都值得被看見。
Polly，現年40歲，幼稚園老師，在Threads的帳號叫stones.are.alive，中文「半心無脾女」。半心，是只有單心室，沒有一個健全的心；無脾，是沒有脾臟，需長年服藥。因此，「半心無脾女」不是甚麼獨特的網絡名稱，是病歷。
她開Threads，本是為了記錄病情，豈料去年宏福苑那場無情大火，帳戶變了她尋人的工具，現在則是思念角落。
這場火帶走了Polly媽媽，也把她的生活日常一併燒掉。然而，母親的愛沒有因此消失。
這天她坐在工作坊裏，把已風乾的食材———蘋果、橙、雪梨、番薯、糙米，小心翼翼地掃乾淨，有些補上顏色，有些剪成不同形狀，拼貼成掛畫。食材都是媽媽生前網購的，她還加了幾片紅葉，代表着一個來不及兌現的承諾。

Apologies RE: the picture quality. “Polly” (1989) was made as part of “The Magical World of Disney”. Despite having high ratings and generally good reviews, it having been aired on NBC complicates its home media and streaming rights.
