It wasn't quite the promised 'space elevator', but the 3 mile high tower was amazing. I walked around the viewing platform and felt a touch of #vertigo. I closed my eyes and breathed to calm myself. I just had to film the tick-tock dance, then I could take the long ride back down.
My phone spoke up. "3% battery left. Charging direct from solar. Battery full in 3 hours 47 minutes."
Wait, what?
"Zim, what used so much battery?"
"You watched a whole Taylor Swift concert in holographic video projection on the way up."
Oh, yeah.
"Zim, How long until I have enough battery to film my tick-tock? It's one minute, and let's say four takes to be sure."
"28 minutes' charging will be enough."
I sighed and tried to enjoy the incredible view without going dizzy.

cannot watch aislopped #videos. it isn't about politics. can confirm aislopped #animations give me #vertigo. just now had to shut down an animation poking fun at Pete Kegbreath’s man juice fetish because i got dizzy.
the first time i felt ill was watching #tv #ads but couldn’t believe it was the ads. most recently felt it watching a #TourDeFrance animation.
it has to do with the fake zooming and camera movement. they weirdly focus on the fore and background at the same time.

It took three years to get a diagnosis of Menieres--2017 to 2020
It's been 5 years since I had caffinated coffee.
It's been 7 years since I shook a salt shaker.
It's been one day since I stopped decaf coffee.I began having severe vertigo last week. 3 very strong episodes, what I scale as 8 out of 10, 10 being a drop attack. Yes, that's just what it sounds like--no warning, no spinning or tilting--just down.
2 of them happened while I was driving. It really SUCKS and is very scary because even trying to get to the side of the road seems impossible when everything is sliding and tilting and moving up and down.
One other was milder.This week one severe (again while driving!) and three small episodes.
I had been free of it for
nearly two full years, after an injection into my right ear drum.I'm not fucking around with it. I called my doctor and am scheduling a second injection---the risk is deafness on that ear, whech already can't hear. Th eprevious injection caused no drum tissue damage, so it's worth it for me.
End of my pissing and moaning. I am very grateful for medicare and secondary insurance.

Looking like my most recent vertigo has been set up by lying in bed reading on my phone.
Reasoning:
Vertigo is happening not when, and immediately after, I roll in bed.Instead it is happening some 10 seconds after I stop rolling in bed, when my neck eventually relaxes.
The "not relaxing" appears to be under voluntary control.Physical therapy on my neck and jaw stops the vertigo happening - until I've been lying on in bed reading for +60 minutes. Then it comes back.

The reason I wanted to track symptoms is that I've had a couple of shitty days at the beginning of this week.
I had a super light bout of brain fuzz or maybe even vertigo. Not sure. (Yes, I've had the typo of vertigo that causes the entire room to spin. It wasn't that.)
This was accompanied by what I'd call a depressive episode.
I'm feeling fine now.
What caused it? Fuck me if I know.
What got me out of it? Fuck me if I know.
The vertigo visits me from time to time. I don't think it is worsening, but I don't have good enough memory to know. Hence, the symptom tracker.

@PetraPhoenix #today I will have an AGM to manage, but before that hopefully manage to help my mentee with a grant proposal and get some research done. But I slept really badly for various reasons and so my day is not going well yet. Maybe my #vertigo has largely evaporated though, so that would be a win.
