My father has #Dementia.#DementiaDon started exhibiting the same signs as my father during his first term: The #paranoia, making things up to fill the gaps in his memory, quick to anger out of frustration ("bomb them"), driven by impulse, and an appreciation for people who "protect" him & tell him what to do (see: #Putin.)
He's surrounded himself with people who shield him from the truth, contributing to his disbelief when reality creeps in (see #Jan6 or "winning in #Iran".)

And there is the problem .... enlarged, bigoty egos with delusions of invincibility and immunity, thinking "It'll only happen to 'others'"
Paranoid sociopathic politics is pretty much incapable of respecting any boundaries, despite ranting about them.
Sociopathic politics is a mess which constantly enlarges paranoia and attacks on innocents to retain attention of gullible, easily exploited, easily fooled, bored voters too lazy or damaged to sense their way into empathising.
