    What’s popular this month?

During this month, sets of events have happened at Aptivi, and we have chosen to summarize some of the most popular events that we have covered here at Aptivi Blog and Aptivi Newsroom, as well as other Aptivi updates in case they happen.

The top ten most popular articles published this month were:

We’ve published an instructional article about how to upgrade an existing FreeBSD PKGBASE system from FreeBSD 15.0 to 15.1, along with our experience regarding the upgrade, which went smoothly. Additionally, we’ve informed our readers about the latest update for Termux’s proot-distro, which got updated to support Docker containers instead of traditional tar archive method so that support for more Linux distributions and standalone containerized applications is achieved.

QuickStar has earned support for One UI 9.0 with a new update for those who are in the beta program, and we’ve published a tentative eligible smartwatches list for the One UI 9.0 Watch software, which is expected to come with the newest Galaxy smartwatches that are set to be unveiled on July.

Meanwhile, from the above list, the Galaxy A57 was getting itself ready for the release in Korea with “Quantum7” as the rebranded name, and the June 2026 security patch was released for the Galaxy S23, S23 FE, S25, and S26 flagship series. Additionally, Samsung released One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy A54 and A34 during June, while the list of supported devices for the June 2026 SMR has been updated in the first days of June.

Of course, there were so many events that happened this June, but we’ve summarized the above ten articles, sorted by popularity in the number of viewers. You can see the rest of our summaries in the weekly digests below for more information.

    Weekly digests

During this month, we have issued the weekly digests we have posted at the end of each week on Saturdays, as well as weekly summarizations of each Linux release.

Please note that the order of events are listed in the descending order from the newest to the oldest.

    Summary

This month, Aptivi released several new versions of projects, including Nitrocid 0.2.1 Tech Preview and more updates to the v0.2.0 and the v0.1.0 version series, while updating some of the libraries, including Terminaux, Textify, and BassBoom. Additionally, we’ve redesigned the API docs and the Newsroom websites to match the Aptivi Blog that had undergone a redesign early June, and we’ve migrated the GitBook documentation repositories to branches. More experiments, such as running Red Hat 9.0 Shrike with WordPress 0.7-gold, were made, and some of them were very interesting.

In the other hand, Samsung has released the June security patch for several of the Galaxy devices, including the flagship series and many middle-ranger phones, as well as flagship tablets. Also, they have continued the rollout of One UI 8.5 to the rest of the eligible devices while getting ready for the newest foldables that will be unveiled in July. Additionally, Linux has seen the first release candidate of v7.2, while v7.1 has already reached stable version after several release candidates that were released in the span of more than two months. Windows has also been updated to bring newest security fixes, along with new features, with a cumulative update of June 2026.

So, thank you to whoever read our posts, liked them, and commented on them, whether it’s on the Fediverse or not. We appreciate your interaction, engagement, and support, and this motivates us into going ahead moving forward.
