Richtig nutzbar ist es nur bei der DNB /und dem HBZ/. Dabei wäre es ja ganz interessant, wenn man sich mal durch die Kataloge sparqlen könnte.

#umbel ist auch so ein Kuriosum aus der #lod-Welt im #glam-Bereich. Es ist in der RDF-Modellierung offenbar (zumindest bei DNB und BSB) die übliche Art, Digitalisate zu verzeichnen (umbel:isLike). Seit 2020 ist die Domain jedoch wieder herrenlos, die Definitionen der Ontologie muss man sich aus dem InternetArchive holen (https://web.archive.org/web/20190321120528/http://umbel.org/umbel). Dafür können die Bibliotheken nichts, kurios ist es trotzdem.

As with most of our events this year, the discussion was driven by our translation project of the OCLC Passage white paper. Due to the nature of LightBox Library, its audience aligns closely with the paper’s original target audiences. Their specialization in photography also allowed us to dive deeper into the case studies presented in the paper and ground the discussion in real-world practice.

Yay, we're going to Korea for #DH2026!!

Just received the news that our short paper on the French crime fiction collection "Le Masque" has been accepted, as well as my poster on the "Mapping DH" initiative! Awesome!

That's all the more wonderful as we recently received funding for a workshop, to take place the week before in Seoul, with Korean colleagues, to investigate suitable data sources to study literary translations from German and French into Korean.

Ein bisschen schade, dass das #wikiversum auch bei dieser #bibliocon wieder sehr schwach vertreten ist (1x #Wikipedia, 1x #Wikisource, 0 x #Wikidata, #wikicommons sowieso nicht). Schade auch deshalb, weil zugleich bibliothekarische Parallelangebote vorgestellt werden, für die es auch etablierte Wiki-Workflows gäbe. Da wäre es gut, beide Varianten zu sehen.

Überraschend ist angesichts der Knowledgegraphisierung of everything, dass #LOD/KGs auch nicht wirklich stark vertreten sind.
