#linux could be a solution for all of us #gamers who have had enough of the industry fooling around.

There seem to be several attempts to provide a good-to-great gaming experience, starting with Valve's #steamos, but also #baocera or even #bazzite Linux.

I will look into it this year, I guess. Using some kind of a Mini PC, probably one from Minis Forum, with an OCuLink interface and AMD hardware. RAM and SSD memory are expensive, but this won't change for quite a while, so I have to deal with it.

What do I expect as an outcome? Control over my games. Mainly at #steam and #gog, and hopefully #nvidia #geforcenow up and running for high-end gaming.

#battlenet, #ea, #ubisoft and such are a pain in the ass, because of their game launchers and forced logins, to collect data from me. In the future, these companies are being avoided by me. My money. My rules.

Ich habe die letzten Monate auf #linuxmint gezockt.
Zocke jetzt seit ca. 2Wochen auf #Linux #bazzite

Hatte erst kurz noch gezögert, da Arch und nicht Debian, aber alles Top.
Das System ist noch mal ein richtiger Gamechanger. Allein schon was Optik und Bedienung angeht. Manche Sachen wirken einfach schon durchdachter oder einfach nur angenehmer auf mich.
Auch #worldofwarcraft zu installieren mit #battlenet über #steam ist kein Problem mehr.

Ich stelle mich da ganz klar hinter #Valve. #Steam ist kein Monopol, da es genug Konkurrenz gibt. Die großen Publisher sind einfach nur neidisch, dass Steam eine deutlich bessere Plattform als ihre ist und sich Gamer deswegen auch dafür entscheiden, nur verstehen sie es einfach nicht. Vor allem setzt Valve ja auch ein Großteil dafür ein, um das Leben aller Gamer besser zu machen, und damit sich Gabe Newell eine neue Yacht kaufen kann 😂.

Mein to go für PC Gaming sind Steam. #GOG, #itchio und #BattleNet (Ich wünschte, alle Blizzard Spiele wären auf Steam), nicht #Ubisoft, #EA, #EpicGames und #Xbox.

Tried #Heroic Launcher, didn’t work. Went back to #Lutris. After some tinkering there (mainly with the #Wine version used) I had the launcher working. But should I pay for the remastered versions and then they won’t work? I tried #StarCraft. It worked! Out of the box (from that point). 1/n

I will soon play #StarCraft #BroodWar with @SeaFury and maybe others (I'm really bad at the game).

What i find crazy is that I still remember my #BattleNet password, even though I was #boycott`ing #Blizzard since they decided to ban a professional player for him flashing #FreeHongKong motto as he won the title (and other stories).

#StarCraft2 was more than a game for me, that's for sure.
