Nem vagyok nagy játékos, amit játszom, az is inkább stratégia és az is a régi klasszikus, mint például a Red Alert 2, vagy az Age of Empire II.
De, most a sok Resident Evil film után kicsit elkapott a gamelhetnék.
Az #AE #anticheat faszsága miatt, amit cca. két éve hozott be, nem tudom már sajnos natívan #Linux alatt játszani, úgyhogy be kellett röffentenem a Windowst hozzá (legalább így majdnem egy év után feltelepültek közben a frissítések a háttérben), de most kicsit "bűnöztem".
Toltam egy #Battlefield 1-et.

You all know I hate kernel-level anti-cheat for many reasons. I will admit “nuked the hentai-trained AI girlfriend” was not on my threat model, but if this helps more people realize kernel anti-cheat is basically malware with PR, that is still progress. #AI #AntiCheat #Cybersecurity

The ro.debuggable property is a system-level Android variable. Anti-cheat and telemetry engines check this to see if the operating system is a stock consumer build or a modified developer build.
On a standard Google or Samsung phone, the app is allowed to peek at this property completely unchecked. But because I am on GrapheneOS, the hardened libc library steps in, slaps the app's hand away, and says "Access denied."
The game engine is programmed to assume that if it can't read basic system properties, it's being run inside a hacking environment or a virtual machine. Instead of gracefully handling it, the code just panics, hangs, and dies.

Da ich nun Monatlich meinen #Server zahlen muss,😅 ging heute die Kündigung bei #Clouddeck ein. 😒 Der Service ist zwar in Bezug auf den Spielekatalog eine Wucht, da alles, was auf dem #SteamDeck läuft, auch auf dem Clouddeck laufen sollte. Nunja, dachte ich auch. Aber manche Spiele nutzen #AntiCheat Software, welche natürlich bei einer #VM Umgebung meckert. Bei anderen Spielen merkt man eben die VM Umgebung.
