I switched from #RayCast to @tinystartapp and the speed and ease of use is a real delight!

Just need to write a shortcut or two to eject all disks / a specific disk and one to do quick translations via dict.cc and everything is even on par to what I did with RayCast :3

Work in progress of a low-polygon face. I tried ~50 ways for the outline, landed on the new #raycast method. I might combine it with a compositor outline later.

The mesh still needs work before jumping to the texturing.

@nileane that looks like the best drop-in replacement for most of what I use #RayCast for - very well done!

At first while watching your video I was like "okay, that looks well made but I also need a symbol picker and sometimes like to do math / conversions quickly" -- imagine my gleeful smile when you listed those towards the end just like it's the easiest thing in the world to add those in!

#Espanso has been removed from autostart on this Mac and will be deleted once I migrate all the snippets to Raycast. I have absolutely had it with Espanso just spontaneously stopping working, still showing its icon in the menu bar, and having to be endtasked and restarted only to force the user to click through its two startup dialogs. #Raycast FTW.

I see what y'all mean about #Raycast. After all this time, I see it. I don't know why it took me this long and I KNEW I would eventually. It's the text snippets that did it. Will spend this week replacing everything I created in Espanso then do away with that shonky unstable bastard of an app. Gladly.

@dhry Ladies and gentlemen, after more than a year, I think I've finally - FINALLY - started to fall down the #Raycast rabbithole.

Resized the #Raycast window with #AutoHotKey on #Windows.

Yep, it worked. Settings screen looks good. Main window looks like shit because the viewport is still locked to it's original size and of course it STILL can't be resized even on Win. Great app, monumental and almost dealbreaking UI flaw.

I only use it for an emoji picker right now so it's tolerable. It may become triggering in the future..

For my personal old Macbook Air M1 16Gb I found an LLM model that fits and performs reasonably well for my simple use cases. It's Mistral's `ministral-3:8b` — it gives an average 10 tokens per second. I use it in conjunction with Raycast AI chat app #llms #ai #genai #localai #localllm #raycast #mistral

I'm delighted to discover that #Raycast is able to project my next upcoming appointment from my calendar into my menu bar, similar to #Dato. @Ronnie Do you know whether it can also project the TIME/DATE into the menu bar? I know I can simply look for myself or use Arthroscopic Claude or any of the rest of them but hey, you're convenient.

用 Spec-kit 弄了個 Agent Client Protocol 的 Raycast Extension Client 實作（疊滿）

因為 speckit 不同 agent 都能用，所以 claude/codex/opencode(吃 github copilot 訂閱），輪流吃到 rate limit，輪流接手 vibe，在初期 /speckit.implement 指令狂下、清 TODOs 的階段實在有夠有趣（喔對沒有 gemini XDD）

這東西與其說實用，不如說是 speckit 的試用和 Raycast extension 的火力展示，畢竟我也不會真的用 Raycast 來 vibe coding 🤣
