#Apple 's people location sharing on #FindMy is actually pretty nice - it's so simple to setup. If you have old parents for instance, it's nice to just get on the app on their #iPhone, share location (indefinitely) to your number, and then you can just check out where they are from the Find My app on your phone at any time, rather than make them remember to always start a live location sharing on #WhatsApp or wtv. I reckon it might not take as much battery life too, as I imagine it only pings for its location when you're looking for it.
That being said, if you do wish to set up notifications for this location tracking, it's gonna be painful and not worth it lol - for that, you're best left with #Life360 which you could easily set up certain 'zones' i.e. home, workplace, etc. and you'll always be notified if anyone in your circle's left or arrived a zone, and even nicer, even if it's not a pre-defined zone - it'll still tell you if they've stopped or left from a location. If you don't need this tho, Find My is the way to go. -

There is no point in paying for it considering all of the same (useful) functionality exists natively in #HomeAssistant ! Another win for the Open Home! That’s going to save me almost a hundred euros per year (which is insane to pay for an app we use a couple of times a week!)
