IMGUR blocks UK users then smugly directs you to their GDPR form rigged with impossible demands!
After they VERIFIED MY EMAIL, demanded:
- To describe any private images (in a 10+ year old account I barely used)
- Last login location (was I on VPN?)I made a real effort to answer, but they replied passive-aggressively, acting like I was the one being difficult!
Left me no choice but to file an ICO complaint. What is this nonsense? Anyone else stuck?

It seems Imgur, has quietly dropped API support for new users. If you already have an API key, it still works, but no new keys can be generated. So it is more likely to see some errors in Imgur uploading regardless of the Flameshot version. Be aware that this has nothing to do with Flameshot.

Just found an instructional post on Reddit referring to screenshots hosted on #Imgur. Not only has Imgur geoblocked UK users, it's also blocked VPN endpoints - or the ones I've tried on my VPN provider, at any rate.
I feel so much safer knowing impressionable children can't find out how to set up MPC for Dolby Atmos. 🙄

You can tell when the #uk is decending into #authoritarianism first with the so called #OnlineSafetyAct now #DigitalID and suddenly #imgur which is what's used for hosting photos of computer builds and diagrams is suddenly not available. Many people like myself had been warning about #privacy being erased and telling others to backup and archive. You never know what's suddenly not going be available anymore. If #labour continues, a vpn like @mullvadnet will not be a luxury but will be essential.
