  1. Y'all. I'm so sick of the narrative that any criticism of the EU is Russian propaganda. I've especially seen it on Reddit but on here as well.

In a democracy, people criticizing political decisions is a feature, not a bug! If the EU make political decisions that I believe are detrimental or dangerous, I have every right to speak out, just like I would if a bad law was voted through in Sweden.

Like #chatcontrol, #ageverification, and #eudi / #digitalid that only runs on two US OSes.

  2. RE: mastodon.social/@the_wub/11708

Who on earth thought that a good, secure password would be one you wear on your face 24/7??

  3. The digital texture hardens, grainy with biometric scans demanding ID or selfie matches before lawful content. On #texturetuesday consider #DigitalID laws during our period of #ImperialDecline. #SurveillanceCapitalism is surrendering anonymity to read a book or stream a show. 28 states now enforce this. #SCOTUS cleared the path in Paxton. The cost of #ChildSafety is lost anonymity. The state is normalizing checkpoints for adults. Access to culture shouldn't require showing ID. #SusanKlopferTruth

  4. The #UK's #DigitalID crusade has crossed the Atlantic. Five UK NGOs, #5Rights, #CCDH and their US fronts—mask foreign lobbying with #childsafety rhetoric while pushing laws that strip adults of online anonymity. The same system that arrests dissenters in London now fuels 21 state bills and a federal push to ban #VPN use. Under #FARA they hide true foreign control-Americans must engage in #SurveillanceResistance b4 this #SurveillanceCapitalism makes anonymity a cybercrime. effort.news/uk-lobby

  5. 🎭 Oh, look! An elite British puppet show has crossed the pond to America, starring NGOs with a flair for #drama and an overblown sense of moral superiority. 🇬🇧🇺🇸 Brace yourself for Act 2 of "Protect the Children," where #anonymity is the villain, and everyone gets a digital ID badge whether they want to be in the cast or not. 🎭🔍

  6. Scotland is not being “abolished”. Something subtler is happening beneath it.

Digital identity. Biometrics. Smart Data. Genomics. Global standards. International infrastructure designed to interoperate across borders.

The documents are public. The convergence is deliberate.

  7. Four new confirmations take the Thom Aster vindication count to 20 in little over a year.

Digital identity is converging with banking and payments. SpaceX is now contracted as a “foundational data backhaul layer.” The full control-grid thesis remains unproven — but key pieces are no longer theoretical.

  8. Andy Burnham says Britain’s £1.8bn Digital ID programme is dead. The official record tells a more complicated story.

One Login, GOV.UK Wallet, private verification firms and statutory data-sharing powers remain—alongside Palantir’s expanding NHS and defence footprint.

I traced what was cancelled, and what quietly survived.

  9. There is no single blueprint for global control. There does not need to be.

Digital ID, CBDCs, health surveillance, AI governance, pathogen monitoring and neurotechnology are being built separately—but increasingly operate through compatible infrastructure.

This evidence-graded dossier maps the system, the funding and the safeguards still missing.

"For better or worse, DCMS is a significantly less important government department than the business department, Cabinet Office, or what DSIT used to be... it is mostly concerned with TV and football... So all of this adds up to irrelevance."

  11. Stop the War Coalition and the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament said: “To hand the Treasury purse strings to a man who demanded a £197 billion increase in arms and nuclear weapons spending demonstrates beyond doubt that the military industrial complex is in charge of Burnham’s economic policy.
“The arms dealers and generals are undoubtedly now in the cabinet. John Healey’s appointment as chancellor will inevitably mean huge fights over welfare, health and housing to come.
“None of the social and economic ambitions — tackling the cost-of-living crisis in particular — that Burnham claims to aspire to will be possible if an ever-growing portion of the economy is devoted to war and destruction,”

Fwiw, that's pretty much where my mind went: if they are framing it as being paid for by cancelling #DigitalID, then we're still in the grip of handbag economics too.

  12. Let us hope that many more of Starmer's harebrained, anti-people, economy destroying, ill-informed, subhuman schemes get scrapped.

Good move, Burnham. Send my share of the £1.8bn to me directly and asap, please.

  13. This is not one isolated policy, one organisation or one government.

It is a global convergence of UN frameworks, WEF partnerships, AI infrastructure, digital identity, finance, surveillance, NGOs, corporations and national legislation—all moving in the same direction.

Follow the links. Follow the funding. Follow the implementation.

The architecture is already being built around us.

  14. Governments are not handing power to one world authority in a single act. They are building an interoperable AI governance system through treaties, scientific panels, standards, procurement, digital identity and autonomous agents.

    The architecture is already visible.

  15. theguardian.com/politics/2026/. I approve of the decision to scrap Starmer's #Orwellian #digitalID scheme, but the idea that this will do anything to improve the #costofliving #crisis for ordinary people in this #country is ludicrous. "The Office for Budget Responsibility suggested it could cost about £1.8bn..." A saving of £1.8bn spread between 69.987 million people in the UK (worldometers.info/world-popula) is ~£25.72 per person for a single year.

  16. "Andy Burnham is expected to scrap Keir Starmer’s plans for digital ID cards in a “reset of priorities” when he enters Downing Street on Monday.

The new Labour leader plans to redirect the resources earmarked for the scheme towards tackling the cost of living, his team indicated on Saturday.

The Guardian understands the proposals are being outlined in an attempt to distance the incoming prime minister from unpopular choices made by his predecessor. A petition opposing the introduction of digital ID cards when it was announced last year attracted about 3m signatures.

“One of the first things this government will do is put its focus where people need it right now: creating breathing space and delivering change they can feel in their everyday lives,” Burnham’s spokesperson said.

“That means all the time and resource that was going to be spent on a national ID scheme will go instead to where it’s most needed, such as helping with the cost of living."

  17. Governments across the world are merging with AI through sovereign compute, national models, digital identity, public-service agents and military systems.

This is not one future system. It is the same architecture being built globally under different flags.

The question is no longer whether AI will assist government—but whether humans will remain meaningfully in control.

  18. Is it bye bye bye for UK Digital ID?

As ORG’s @jim said, this scheme would risk “creating a digital surveillance infrastructure that will change everyone’s daily lives.”

Another authoritarian assault on our rights could hit the shredder as Burnham heads to No.10.

    We’ll wait and see…

  19. Different nations. Different cultures. Different beliefs.

Yet ordinary people everywhere are facing the same expanding systems: digital identity, programmable finance, surveillance, automated governance and increasingly powerful AI.

  20. The SAVE Act does not mandate biometric ID—but it places federal identity verification inside the electoral process as governments worldwide build interoperable digital identity, biometric, payment and data systems.

This investigation separates provable infrastructure from speculation and reveals how the pieces could eventually converge.

  22. Vindication #2? India’s biometric and digital-control infrastructure is no longer dismissible as fringe speculation. Gates is now openly celebrating the Indian model—without calling it “capture.”

  23. I'm buying a new car right now and I hadn't realized how bad things have gotten in the EU.

Every new car now has to ship with "Intelligent Speed Assistance" and "Advanced Driver Distraction Warning". It sound reasonable, but in practice they're implemented soo badly.

I tested a new Toyota. The speed assistance beeps at you the moment you go 1 km/h over the limit, which every driver knows happens from time to time. I set cruise control to 50 and it still beeped when we hit a hill or went over a bump and drifted to 51. This happened all the time.

The distraction warning is even worse. It scans your face to check you're paying attention, and it's full of false alarms. On a completely empty road you can't even glance at the scenery around you. Have you ever taken a road trip?!

I get that we want safer roads, but this isn't the way. Make people responsible for their actions instead. Speeding? - pay a real fine, or lose your license. Don't meddle with everyone's driving in real time.

Same pattern from #EU as #DigitalID and Chat Control. Forced on everyone, badly built, no opt-out.

These technologies should be optional, properly tested, and actually improved before they're mandatory. Not forced onto us.
