In diesem Video zeigt Jean Gradia, eine neue Flameshot-Alternative mit dem man sehr einfach Screenshots erstellen und bearbeiten kann. Gradia bietet deutlich mehr Funktionen als die meisten Standard-Werkzeuge, wie etwas eine Texterkennung.

Allerdings stimmt die Aussage nicht, dass Flameshot nicht auch nachträglich Markierungen bearbeiten kann. An der Monitorseite links erscheint ein kleines Banner - damit kann das entsprechende Menü aufgeklappt werden.

Schade, #flameshot war ein tolles Werkzeug, um Screenshots zu erstellen. Als es aufhörte zu funktionieren, war das ein Auslöser für meine darauf folgenden Neuinstallationen des Betriebssystems.

Jetzt habe ich zwar ein stabiles und sauberes #Arch am Laufen, doch das Tool verweigert weiter seinen Dienst. Aber offenbar nicht nur bei mir, wie es bei #github zu finden ist und bislang ungelöst scheint. Mal nach Alternativen suchen.

Ksnip kann nun mit Pugin OCR. Wer lieber Flameshot nutzt, der kann auf eine Taste ein Skript legen mit der untenstehenden Zeile. Sofort nach ENTER landet der erkannte Text in der Zwischenablage.

It seems Imgur, has quietly dropped API support for new users. If you already have an API key, it still works, but no new keys can be generated. So it is more likely to see some errors in Imgur uploading regardless of the Flameshot version. Be aware that this has nothing to do with Flameshot.

📣 #Flameshot 13.2.0 is now released. This minor release is mainly aiming to improve for mixed DPI screens. This is *not* an ultimate fix, but it have been reported to help the issue for many Windows and X11 users. Please be patient while we try to find a solid fix for this issue.

Es ist voll doof, von #Redhat und #Gnome und #Wayland das wohl wegen deren Firmenpolitik, #Flameshot nicht mehr funktioniert.

Unter X11 geht flameshot unter wayland nicht.

I am trying out #CachyOS and will just drop some notes. Feel free to ignore. I am too lazy to write a blog article, but want to share my spontaneous thoughts. I was a long-time #Debian user, had #Windows as my main OS for a long time and wanted to try out something new. Now, I am trying #CachyOS with #Gnome. And I hit much #WTF issues. The currently hitting me is that #Flameshot does not work on Gnome. One has to downgrade to version 12. But downgrading is not as easy as in Debian.
