  1. So, #FirstFridayArtWalk was a nice #TimelineCleanse . But there's breaking news to report this afternoon, then the #SolarPunkSunday posts shall commence! After today, I'll try to not post USPol and WorldPol, unless there is breaking news...

  2. Modern life is a balance between enjoying the benefits of technology -- electricity, indoor plumbing, using the Internet, driving a car -- and being manipulated by the corporations that control these things.

Privacy: it's rather nice. And it takes work and determination to keep it.

  3. Here's a blast from the past... Some art by #WhatMagazine artist-in-residence, Steff! Put together with Photoshop but without AI! Circa early 2000s. This piece is titled, "House of God."

  4. So, my reason for participating / hosting #Hashtag events like #SolarPunkSunday and #FirstFridayArtWalk is to highlight other folks. Sure, I post some stuff as well. But the way I see it, like #WhatMagazineOnline, it's a communal experience and a way of #BuildingCommunity . Because... We sure as hell need to #UniteAgainstTheRight (and #Colonialism and #Capitalism), right now! We are running out of time, folks.

  5. I visited an exhibition yesterday at the #CreweCenter at #USM in #PortlandME yesterday. The theme is "Of Sibyls and Source: Ranges and Ruptures" showing through March 31, 2026. The first piece that caught my eye was "Invoking the Muses" by artist and teacher #SusanBickford. "These dresses are meant to invoke and honor these ancient Goddesses, indeed to welcome them into this temple, remembering their essential role in creative inspiration. Position in relationship to the architecture and an extension of the sky, sunlight, moonlight, and the wind, and made as an offering, each stitch a prayer for the future, and the artists receiving their blessing."
