Si inaugura oggi, 12 ottobre, al MUDEC, la grande mostra dedicata all’art brut che, attraverso oltre 70 opere fra disegni, dipinti, sculture e opere tessili, racconta la straordinaria potenza espressiva di una delle concezioni artistiche più significative e rivoluzionarie del Novecento, teorizzata dal celebre artista francese Jean Dubuffet.

Peter Hartlaub: ‘His gallery became the Bay’: #Emeryville mudflat 'Red Baron' artist dead at 82
"Tyler James Hoare was in his Albany office decades ago when he received the panicked call: An unhoused man had removed one of the airplane sculptures that he built on Emeryville pier posts, and was using it as a cart to wheel belongings around the city.
"Hoare’s response was pure pleasure. Rather than file a police report, he found the man, took photos and added them to one of his many scrapbooks.
"I said, 'This plane is having more fun than I do,'" Hoare told me in 2012, barely able to contain his joy. "It was in Berkeley, it was in People's Park. Last I heard it was on its way to Marin!"
