Today’s theme reminded me I had taken photos of Alex Da Corte’s sculpture “As Long as the Sun Lasts,” which was exhibited on the rooftop of the Met Museum in 2021, at the height of the pandemic. A life-size blue Big Bird sits on a crescent moon in a rotating mobile, gazing out at the city. What is he thinking about? What does he make you think about?
