like as I understand it, I’m supposed to be finding ways – from the top down and the bottom up at once – to like convince my bodymind and my inner children parts that I am safe now, as a survivor and as an adult with a demonstrably stable home and work life
but then I look around at the fascism and the fossil-scorched planet and the atrocious wealth inequality and the fully yet miserably expensively yet unreliably automated fuckery and chicanery and assholery and cruelty at global overkill scale – and anyway I think you see the point I’m getting to: just how safe would it be truthful or just for me to try to convince myself that I actually am? I realize that I am very privileged in many ways, but how can anyone feel safe, knowing all the time that so many are already living under such dire, immediate, and brutal threat
