“The IHRA core text is so verbose and imprecise that it could not realistically be attributed to the ordinary, reasonably informed member of the Australian public,” Justice Fagan says. Chaque fois qu'un membre important du Congrès étatsunien tient des propos antisémites, on voit fleurir des slogans « Je soutiens Israël ». Mais jamais « Je m'oppose à l'antisémitisme ». Voici pourquoi.

Les chrétien·nes évangélistes croient en une apocalypse où il faut envoyer tou·tes les Juifs/ves dans un israël *historique* (y compris des parties du Liban et de la Syrie d'aujourd'hui). C'est alors que les chrétien·nes évangélistes pourront provoquer "l'enlèvement" où seul·es les chrétien·nes évangélistes seront "sauvées".

Cette croyance justifie d'être à la fois antisémite et islamophobe. Elle permet d'amalgamer antisionisme et antisémitisme de gauche, de les condamner et de justifier un antisémitisme nationaliste : chacun·e "chez soi".
