We suddenly found out removed the game from packages (see bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.c )
Original issue was resolved, CI now tests Fedora 35, Fedora 39, and Fedora Rawhide so it would be nice if someone could help to return the game back to the repositories.

I have run into a very strange problem with where is complaining about file locks, but the process dnf5 is complaining about appears to be itself.

I am only trying to run `sudo dnf --refresh upgrade` that I have done a hundreds times 🤨

He wore a sharply creased gray fedora, a double-breasted charcoal wool suit that looked utterly indifferent to the ninety-degree desert heat, and polished wingtip oxfords. He was lean, square-jawed, and moved with an economy of motion that instantly altered the gravity of the standoff at the dry lakebed. In his left hand, he held an open leather credential case displaying a gold Department of Justice shield. In his right, he carried a crisp, carbon-copied teletype flimsy. "Stand down, Major," the man said. His voice was quiet, crisp, and carried the unmistakable razor-edge of federal authority. Caffrey whirled. "Who the hell are you?" "Special Agent John J. Bolt, Federal Bureau of Investigation, El Paso Field Office," Bolt interrupted smoothly, not breaking stride until he was standing two feet from Caffrey's chest. Beside the Buick, a second man stepped out. He was broad-shouldered and wearing a silver star pinned to his vest: Deputy U.S. Marshal Frank McTeague, cradling a twelve-gauge Remington riot gun.

Microsoft has announced a public preview of Defender for Linux workstations.

This release expands the security tool from server environments—available since 2020—to desktop and laptop systems running distributions including Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, RHEL, SLES, and Rocky.

The software is targeted at enterprise customers and requires specific licenses like Microsoft 365 E5/E7 or Defender for Endpoint Plan 2.

    Questions:
Is it possible/recommended to use linux mint for audio-/musicproduction? Or should I start (as a linux #newbie) with a special linux for audio-/musicproduction (which one?)? And will this have office, mail, browser, gimp too?

    Info:
I will install & use linux for the 1st time in my life (on a new second hd on Thinkpad P70).

    1) office...
Am using windows atm with libre office, thunderbird, firefox, gimp. After some online research I guess #LinuxMint ist best for me (easy change/usage). Maybe #Ubuntu, #debian may be to difficult for me.?

    2) audio-/musicproduction
Am using windows with ableton (midi+audio, lot of warp) and #rme #fireface 400 (will maybe buy new, guess fireface ucx ii). After some online research I found linux distros made for audio-/musicproduction like #ubuntustudio @ubuntustudio , #kxstudio, #archlinux, #fedorajam a.s.o.
As #ableton is not available on #linux i willhave to learn a new #daw.

    Thx to @linuxaudiodevelopment ,
    linuxaudio.dev/frequently-aske was a great help.

systemd's journal export format is not the most upsetting log format, but it might be the noisiest one I've seen in a while... systemd.io/JOURNAL_EXPORT_FORM

Fedora puts systemd-journal-remote in a separate package, so on some systems I'm just piping to curl to upload logs. It's janky but works earlier in the installation process (like the very first bootcmd entry in a cloud-config user-data file!)

    systemd-run -u journal-forwarding sh -c 'journalctl -fo export | curl -v -T - -H "Content-Type: application/vnd.fdo.journal" -H "Accept: text/plain" -X POST http://mgmt.local:12345/upload'

I'm a habitual #GNOME/#Xfce user, but today I did a #Debian Stable install on my old Acer Aspire E15 and decided to go with #KDE #Plasma.

I'm enjoying it so far. Maybe six months to a year ago, I looked at Plasma in #Fedora and Debian. Both seemed to look great and work well, and I put a longer Plasma test on my list.

This is 13ish-year-old hardware, so I'm not expecting a miracle, but so far everything is running well.

Made Wisp, a GNOME extension that puts snapper snapshots in the top bar.

See every snapshot, take one, delete the junk. Open one to see what changed, restore single files or roll the whole system back.

Anything that needs root goes through a small polkit helper, packaged for Fedora and openSUSE. GNOME 46 to 51.

@fabiscafe I did a little bit of search, why gnome-keyring just works out of box on #gnome and #arch and why oo7 needs manual pam changes.
The reason is, gdm package contains pam configs in /usr/lib/pam.d that sets only gnome-keyring modules.

Now the interesting part: These configs are defined in upstream and have specific version for arch linux:
    gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gdm/-/t
There is also a redhat version of these used by Fedora for example, that has oo7 modules added:
    gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gdm/-/t

Meaning, someone has to make pullrequest in gdm to enable this smooth oo7 transition on arch.

The rear compartment of the county ambulance smelled of camphor, rubbing alcohol, and old oilcloth. The vehicle swayed violently as it navigated the washboard ruts of State Road 4, descending out of the high pine forests toward the sun-baked plains of the Rio Grande Valley. Outside the frosted rear windows, the red cliffs of the Jemez Mountains flickered past like frames of a moving picture reel. Remiel lay propped against the elevated canvas stretcher, the rough wool blanket pulled securely to her waist. Her hands remained resting lightly on her abdomen, her pulse slow and steady despite the jarring vibration of the ambulance leaf springs. Directly across from her sat Jack Bolt on a folding jump seat. He had removed his fedora, revealing slicked-back dark hair parted strictly down the center. A leather-bound stenographer’s notebook was open on his knee, a pencil balanced between two fingers. He studied her with the relentless, dissecting scrutiny of a hunter who knew the quarry was dangerous precisely because it made no sound.

Dude @joel , I really don't like my new (vs my amazing ) .. The backlight is the reason I upgraded (and is critical 4 me).

Pogo adapter won't stay attached!!X4Pro is thicker, so no excuse not to have USB-C!

Touch is way slower & less precise than X3 buttons. At least can map power-button to "confirm" & with up/down it's useable again.

Back magnets moved so X3 case doesn't fit. 🤷 Doesn't cover iPhoneXV camera anymore, but it sticks off the bottom weirdly. 🤔
