AI is already a tool deployed within existing systems of extreme violence to do things that were already being done, but faster, at a larger scale, and with less friction. It is already making killing more efficient (in the way #Germany used #IBM to make the Final Solution a logistically optimized system capable of killing millions). Not because the AI "decided" to kill, but because humans built a system that uses AI to automate the identification and targeting of people. A system that, even if it were accurate and able to do what its operators claim it can do, would still be barbaric and it’s deployment should be considered a crime against humanity.
