My local #motorcycle #stealership and new owners: a thread. Their service prices are already too high. I do my own oil changes since they’re easy, but leave more difficult stuff to them. At an event I once asked them to reset my service indicator, which takes 3 minutes to do with their tool - and they gave me a bunch of grief. So I went inside to buy an extremely overpriced TShirt to at least give them some business and they have a new 3% fee for credit card uses. (Continued ➡️)

74° and restaurants are running their patio heaters. There is no hope for humanity. Nothing we can do will prevent a climate apocalypse. If you can’t sit on a patio in 74° weather without running a fossil fuel heater *outside* no amount of my recycling, solar panels, or electric cars & appliances will save us.

I found this while searching for a way to get help with our packages - we are not alone. #FetchPackage is the worst thing to ever happen to deliveries and the worst thing of the worst is that it is *impossible* to get support in any way, the only way you ever interact with them is through AI chatbots - there is not a single way to actually get a problem fixed. Every contact medium for them is automated.

#Bicycled the ‘couve. In the central #Vancouver #Washington (uptown/downtown/waterfront/ #FtVancouver / #ClarkCollege ) area it was very very nice. Getting there not so much. Even the dedicated bikeways were mostly just sandwiched next to freeways or busy highways and were smelly, noisy and dirty. Other key connectors were poorly maintained #BikeLanes on busy streets. Sometimes I could find a quiet neighborhood street - but #ClarkCountyWA & #VancouverWA has a long way to go to be “#BikeFriendly”

You made a contract, meet your end of the #contract. It’s not tax-payers’ #responsibility to pay off your #loans. Tip for future generations: don’t take out a #loan you don’t want to pay off. America the Beautiful.
Did the North Cascades scenic byway loop in our electric Volvo. There is not yet any fast-charging infrastructure on WA20 in the stretch between US97 and I5 - so it took a little bit of planning and a 2 hour lunch stop in Winthrop for a bit of a L2 charge…
All in all we did about 800 miles this weekend - our first all electric road trip.

It is unfortunate that our local government and energy provider chose #EnelX to partner with for #EV charging infrastructure. The #EnelXWay products and apps are terrible and their customer service is worse and it’s going to be a poor experience to often first time EV owners. But as much as I want to advocate for #ElectricVehicles EnelX seems like it is designed by the fossil fuel industry to make the EV experience as #painful as possible.

@rachel_norfolk #Energica has the best long-range offering right now, with a Highway range of 130 (160!combined) miles and supports DC fast charging. It still costs about $25k US and even with the best range most electric chargers are not where motorcyclists want to ride. Although I am eyeballing one because I think I could maybe make it work… We are getting close. If we could get a 200 mile range and support DC fast charging it could *maybe* hit the sweet spot.
