Esta película no hace nada mal, pero tampoco destaca en ningún sentido salvo la original historia de la novela en que está basada.
Mantiene bien el tono. La fotografía es muy buena. El montaje es correcto. Todo está bien, pero nada es excelente.
Se agradece el final, que puede llegar a sorprender, y que uno de los personajes sea una figura histórica real.

Another Netflix flick met with "mixed" reviews, what's new? Well, this time I'll be on the "noice" side of the mix. I loved the scenery, the tone and the dialogues. The kind of dialogues which would likely sound pretty ridiculous with another cast, but we're into something with this. Not just with (of course) Bale, but the secondary characters and Harry Melling in particular, away from the Harry Potter cringe and into a remarkable E. A. Poe; he's really come a long way.

I enjoyed #ThePaleBlueEye and would recommend it. Is it life changing? Nope. But IMO it was a decent enough flick.

But someone who doesn’t like Christian Bale probably won’t like a movie starring Christian Bale.

#ThePaleBlueEye is a waste of time and talent (Charlotte Gainsbourg! Toby Jones! Gillian Anderson!).

There's something about Christian Bale I've never liked (I get this from some actors for usually no specific reason) but figured my love of Poe would make watching this worth my time.

I was wrong.

This is a #Netflix fail, don't bother.

I have no idea what's going on with movie ratings/critics anymore. #ThePaleBlueEye is one of the finest Netflix movies released recently but critics think an android killing slasher (how original 🙄!) is the better movie because the former is a slow burn.
