It's going to be rough, but the decision made by the #UniversityOfOregon , #PSU, and #OSU to not renew Elsevier subscriptions is the right one. Spending a quarter of your total annual library budget on a single subscription is ridiculous.

A bit about me. I'm on the third pivot of my career. I started out working in international development (Peace Corps, then DC-based consulting). Then I went local and worked for a city-county unified government (Athens-Clarke Co, GA). 12 years ago I started my first faculty job at #ClevelandState. I moved to #UniversityofOregon in 2016. I study local government management. Lots of #coproduction scholarship and some #crowdsourcing. And finally some #publicbudgeting stuff too.
