Recent discussions of who invented what AD&D class (note that a lot were not done by Gygax or Arneson), got me to wondering what classes were presented in early White Dwarf magazines.
The Beserker was presented in issue 19, July 1980, by Roger E. Moore. It included a battle lust mechanic, and Beserker's do not wear heavy armor.
I am not suggesting Gary Gygax got the idea of a Barbarian from the White Dwarf article, btw. I just went looking and think the idea must have been "in the air" from the early days.
From what I can tell, Gary Gygax started talking about adding a Barbarian class to D&D in Dragon Magazine Issue 63, in 1982.

I simply got #pinecilv2 - (usb-c solder) from @PINE64, and together with good tip like bc2 (much easier to use) and some good solder wire like #kester to assemble my first mechanical keyboard.
Soldered few #pmw3360 since then as well :)

I rep my company on the #trustedcomputinggroup. I have written and contributed to multiple standards. #IWork4DellIn my free time I am dye fabric, create art, watch birds, garden and care for my mom. I am owned by 3 cats, know all the dogs in the neighborhood and rescue lizards. I curate a fiber art exhibit: Stretching Art and Tradition which is on year 22. I co-lead a local pod of the Studio Art Quilt Associates.

A recent #fishshell upgrade (either the shell or some #fisher package) broke the way Alt-Backspace works. Now it's deleting everything back to the previous whitespace instead of the previous punctuation mark. Annoying! Any ideas to fix it?

I made a little.box for a secret Santa exchange at my #ModernQuilt guild meet this Thursday for this first day in the #ArtAdventCalender. It is from the Bitsy Box pattern by Bodobo Bags. I used my hand- dyed fabric scraps and a random pink floral for the lining.

I just finished the book "Blackmoor Foundations" published by the Fellowship of the Thing. GET THIS BOOK! is my simple advice!
If you have any interest at all in the history of the #ttrpg hobby, this book is a must. Reproductions of actual documents chronicling the early Blackmoor campaign, and insights into how David Arneson ran his campaign.
There's so little material published from the early hobby, and much history is unknown or lost. This is a massive help. Boost worthy.

Reading *The Lost Dungeon of Tonisborg* I'm reminded of the term "jaquaying" a dungeon. Greg made his dungeon in that way before Jennell Jaquay designed her famous works. Having multiple entrances, and direct access to deeper levels clearly was something Dave Arneson and his players had in their designs. Seeing it in this instance really makes me understand what a wonderful design principle it is.
