  1. Stations have to file their political ad orders with the FCC, and those filings are public. AZ Follow the Money pulls the ones from 26 Arizona broadcast stations into a single searchable ledger for the 2026 cycle.

Search by committee or station, sort by dollars or flight date, and every row links back to the source FCC document. Built by one person from public records.

  3. @USpol #AIPAC #DarkMoney #AllIn #ChrisHayes

    Hold that phone, Leroy. Woah.
It's that segment Chris Hayes covered just now about dishonesty in PAC political ads, but making the point that PACs that are against a particular candidate winning will not use the cause that they're organized for but use instead public issues they're convinced that the voters are dead set against and then accuse, falsely, that the target candidate is guilty of that instead.

I don't see how THAT is anything new, but what's new is the Democrat-on-Democrat verbal violence, so to speak--the AIPAC Wasserman-Schultz wing of the Party vs the Democratic Socialist wing....except in AIPAC's case, well, they target any candidate who even wants to put guardrails around any aid that the US gives to Israel. And yeah, they will NOT say that's WHY they have targeted the candidate; they won't make that case but they'll make a side-case like immigration. ICE. And lie about it.
But this is what AIPAC has always done, actually--Hayes is a couple decades late in pointing that out.

Following that segment, the bottom banner of the screen displayed:
"Trump says he doesn't need to campaign for Republicans".

Except that's exactly what he's doing in the gubernatorial run-off primary election in Oklahoma, where there's GOP-on-GOP verbal "violence". Trump has a United Arab Emirates interest in that aluminum smelter proposed for Inola, OK, and that's what the negative ads against the #Trump favorite candidate focus on, and it's the reason why Trump is spending ad money on boosting Mike Mazzey vs Gentner Drummond and Drummond knows that the smelter and ANY foreign ownership of Oklahoma business and/or land will land where the Oklahoma voters live.

It's to be noted that the UAE also sits on the Board of Peace, so if y'all are wondering why any nation in its right mind would pay the big bux to sit on that board, well, wonder no more--odds are good that they've been bribed with such perks as this to do so.

“Little is known about Restore Britain’s funding. The far-right party, seen as a disrupter on Reform UK’s right flank, was only formally registered as a party in February, meaning further donations records will begin to appear in the coming months, should they cross the threshold for declaration.”

  12. New piece on who is actually funding Australia's renewable energy opposition in regional communities.

The climate obstruction playbook has moved on from denial. Delay is cheaper and more durable. You don't need to win the argument. You just need to prevent a decision from being made.

Follow the money, and you don't find a farmer's hat. Gina Rinehart's company donated $4.5 million to the IPA in a single two-year period. Fossil fuel interests donated nearly $4 million to major parties in 2023-24. Australia's $16,900 disclosure threshold keeps most of it invisible for up to 18 months.

The cruellest part: the playbook takes the genuine experience of being exploited by outside interests and weaponises it to defend the exploiters.

  17. Dutch YouTube creators behind Alberta separatist videos getting millions of views

Albertans end up bombarded with targeted messaging that amounts to Propaganda or Slopaganda, funded by dark money.

This week, a report by the Media Ecosystem Observatory (MEO), a joint project between the University of Toronto and McGill University in Montreal looking into Canadian media, identified 20 YouTube channels as part of a co-ordinated network focused on separatism in western Canadian provinces, and other political issues.

The report noted they use near-identical scripts and dubbed them “slopaganda.”

Altogether, the accounts have garnered roughly 40 million views.

The report says many of the videos contain “frequent and obvious lies, drawing on real news stories to reach exaggerated conclusions designed to exploit political divisions.” The report did not identify the individuals behind the apparent network, citing a lack of “identifying information to real humans or organizations nor ties to the secession movement in Alberta.”

“I think it’s disturbing that these voices are able to insert themselves in the conversation, and their interest is not to further the democratic discourse or … have a healthy, authentic conversation,” said Chris Ross, a senior analyst at the Media Ecosystem Observatory.

“They’re putting themselves in the middle of that, misleading Albertans, Canadians, and they’re just doing it to make money.”

  18. Trump: Buy American, Unless It’s for My Ballroom

President Trump, who has long married “protecting American steel” with his “Make America Great Again” slogan, reportedly accepted tens of millions of dollars in donated steel from a foreign firm for his ballroom just days before he slashed tariffs in half that could help one of its plants.

According to a report by the New York Times from earlier this week, two people familiar with the White House ballroom plans said the steel was made in Europe by ArcelorMittal, a Luxembourg-based steel manufacturer.
