I saw a report today that Ken #Paxton is making a $15 million dollar media buy, probably with money from Trump / Musk now-unlimited super PAC (thx, #scotus !)
#Talarico campaign is begging for help, but small dollar donations aren’t even going to come close to matching the Paxton lie extravaganza.
I want to believe Talarico can win, but will TX voters believe the firehose of crap Paxton’s going to be able to shovel?

Paxton is a philandering, grifting criminal (just like the Potus who endorsed him) who was impeached by his own Party.#Talarico is an honest decent former seminary student who knows how to speak to Christians.
The race is tied. 🤦♂️

Ja, ich denke schon. Hatte ja neulich zum US-Christen & Demokraten James #Talarico gebloggt, der eine unglaublich starke Wirkung durch Videos von Reden & Dialogen erzielt. 👇
Allerdings entsteht der #Wagenheber - Effekt nach meiner Auffassung ja vor allem durch das Mittun, also Mit-Sprechen, Mit-Stimmen, Mit-Schreiben, ja, auch Video-Reactions. Bei einem nur passiven Medienkonsum würde ich noch nicht vom sog. #Ratchet sprechen.

Die schrumpfende #Trump - #MAGA - Blase ist in Panik vor dem Aufstieg des texanischen Christdemokraten James #Talarico. Der Lehrer & Theologe zerlegt mit biblischer Sprache den „Christlichen Nationalismus“ & #Rechtsdualismus der wankenden Republikaner längst weit über #Texas hinaus. Er verteidigt die Trennung von #Kirche und #Staat als „sacred / heilig“ & verweist auf die Bedeutung von Liebe & Tat bei #Jesus.
Schon versuchte das FCC einen TV-Auftritt des U.S.-Abgeordneten & Senatskandidaten bei Stephen #Colbert zu verhindern - was zu einem „FCC you!“ und einer Rekord - #YouTube - Sendung führte.
Inzwischen gewann #JamesTalarico die Nominierung zu den Midterm-Senatswahlen mit Ansagen wie: „Die einzige Minderheit, die Amerika bedroht, sind die Milliardäre.“

Denn ich habe leider fast täglich mit deutschsprachigen Mackern (& seltener auch Mackerinnen) zu tun, die nicht einmal die großen Kirchen der #USA benennen können, sich aber in ihren Vor-Urteilen sehr sicher sind.
