Trump sponsors New Apostoic Reformation pro-theocracy "Rededicate 250" event on DC's Mall
On Sunday the 17th of May, a huge crowd of Christian nationalists, other fundamentalists packed onto DC's National Mall for what was billed as an all-day prayer vigil. It was reportedly organized directly or indirectly by the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) and sponsored by Trump. Trump himself was playing golf, no doubt considering all this Christian extremist shit too boring to pull him away from his golf game. Still, this amounts to an official endorsement from the Office of the President for the NAR.
US House speaker Mike Johnson claimed the event "transcends politics" but the speakers were reported by a Reddit poster to not surprisingly be hardcore "MAGA Christians."
Remember that NAR promotes the totalitarian "Seven Mountains Mandate" concept that religion should dominate and control family, religion, education, media, arts/entertainment, business, and of course government.
A Matthew D. Taylor said on Substack (not linking to Substack due to Nazi issues) that Rededicate 250 was the NAR's "Crowning achievement" to date.
The billionaires behind the larger theocratic push in the US tend to fund and follow the NAR, which itself is a extremist offshoot of the Pentacostals. Some other churches notably the Catholics have called them out as "heretical" and inauthentic as they push the concept that people alive today can become apostles.
As I was nowhere near this mess, I have no idea if most of the attendees of the march were even aware that the NAR was the muscle behind this march. Lots of other fundamentalists however are chugging the Kool-Aid NAR is pouring at least so far as politics is concerned.
The Southern Poverty Law Center once called NAR: "he greatest threat to American democracy that most people have never heard of," as much of the work is pulling the strings from behind the scenes. Despite doctrinal differences deemed toxic by may old-style Baptists and similar fundamentalists, the powerful Southern Baptist Convention has endorsed the NAR on at least one occasion.
The video was liberated from an extreme-right Twitter poster, shortened to remove a Christian propaganda clip, and cropped down to cut out a racist logo. It is valuble intel, and shows how many people still support Trump and want an all-white theocratic successor state to the former US nominal democracy.

In Deutschland herrscht fröhliches Desinteresse. Auf Konferenzen der NAR erscheinen katholische und evangelische Bischöfe, und kaum wer begreift, von wem er sich da hat einladen lassen. Die NAR ist in Deutschland vor allem als Ökumenische und Gebetsbewegung und in Sachen Lobpreismusik unterwegs. Ein bisschen Sprachengebet, Zeichen und Wunder, Lobpreis, ansonsten modern und locker daherkommen. Unter der buntschillernden Oberfläche dann eine streng konservative Moral, Queerfeindlichkeit ("alle sind willkommen", aber nur, um sich dann von Trans* usw. heilen und exorzieren zu lassen), für eine "christliche Erneuerung der Gesellschaft". Die NAR passt sich an den konservativen Mainstream der Kirchen und Freikirchen an, verspricht Modernisierung, liefert aber unbemerkt ein falsches Evangelium, das in die Kirchen eindringt.
Zu wenige verstehen, was die NAR ist und was sie will. Kritik kommt fast nur aus der evangelikalen und pfingstkirchlichen Ecke, bezieht sich aber vor allem auf die Theologie der NAR wie ihre Christologie und ihre Sonderlehren wie Dominionismus oder "Claim it, take it", nicht aber auf die Menschenfeindlichkeit der NAR, auf ihre Abwertung geschlechtlicher und sexueller Minderheiten, Muslime usw. Zu oft teilen sie die Ethik der NAR, etwa die Ablehnung von Trans*, wenn auch theologisch anders begründet.
Die meisten legen die NAR einfach unter "Evangelikale" ab und verstehen nicht, dass die NAR eine eigene gefährliche Weltanschauung entwickelt hat, die weit über alles Evangelikale hinausgeht und gezielt bekämpft werden muss.
Auch die meisten Evangelikalen oder Freikirchler durchschauen meiner Erfahrung nach die NAR nicht, ihre Besonderheiten, die eine Gefahr für die Kirchen und für die Demokratie darstellen.
Die NAR ist so schlimm wie die AfD!

Peter Wagner) ist die derzeit am schnellsten wachsende christliche Bewegung. In Deutschland wird sie kaum wahrgenommen geschweige denn als Gefahr ernst genommen. Sie ist eine neo-charismatische Bewegung mit „Zeichen und Wundern“, „Spiritual Warfare“, dem Glauben an Satan und Dämonen und gefährlichen Lehren wie Dominionismus und Sieben-Hügel-Strategie.
