W’Hamster 40k 11th edition battle reportSo James Orkshop (now know only as Warhammer) has live streamed the first ever 11th edition battle report. On Twitch and on YouTube.
Since it was a holiday and I had literally nothing to do I thought „why not watch it“. Oh boy.
Now W’hamster TV is not new to the streaming game. By no measurement. And yet they still fail at the basics.
Stream started on time? Haha, you wish. And when it started we only got audio. Which was a nice exception because usually you get video and no audio and also that was fixed in a relatively short time.
But the audio we got was very quiet. At times barely audible because some background music was running on 11. Very annoying.
Then the game started although only as a small window in the lower right corner while the two commentator blokes kept on yapping about the lists. Come on, it’s a live battle report, let me in on the action.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, we got the playing area in big mode. Did we get table banter? No, still the two lads in the off talking about everything.
I continued to watch for about 5 to 10 minutes and then got bored to death. Miniatures didn’t seem to move at all, comments where abysmal and for such a big company having only one camera angle was really disappointing. You’d thing to promote your new hot stuff they would do more then the usual but no.
Well, if you enjoyed the stream more power to you. I’m not showing up for another until 12th edition or so.

There is also now a Humble GAME Bundle.
But the game bundle is only Gladius (eh), Battlesectore (more "eh"), Inquisitor (got it), Blood Bowl 2 (why bother when there's 1 and 3?), Space Hulk (surely you've got that by now?) and Dakka Squadron (kinda enjoyable and has a vibe, if a bit buggy)
Still no book bundle 😞

I'm not a huge fan of the Cogforts (they feel like yet another drive into "what if Warhammer was mostly about big, huge, expensive and impractical models")
But there's some cool and characterful conversions here! Bit of a shame that two aren't painted, though.

My HiveWorldTerra.co.uk domain turned TWENTY ONE last weekend!
It's still going. And I'm still hosting a terrible write-up that I did about my websites 20 years ago (https://www.hiveworldterra.co.uk/Article/view_HappyBirthdayHiveWorldTerra.html) and a more detailed "history" article that I wrote in 2015 (https://www.hiveworldterra.co.uk/Article/view_TheHistoryOfHiveWorldTerra.html) 😬
[Insert "turning to dust" GIF]
(I've got it in my calendar as "HWT Birthday (2005)" but the write-up and news items are older because I used to have hiveworldterra.ibboard.co.uk before that)

Next week I hope to get the College of Life done. After that, just all the extras I have laying about from Blitz Bowl, etc.
Then it will be time to paint.

I got the College of Death assembled for #DungeonBowl. The Dark elves are still the worst to assemble, but the zombies and skeletons aren't far behind.

Why do I keep checking Humble Bundle for new book bundles when a) I haven't read the vast majority of books that I've already bought and b) they're so frequently disappointing because there's an increasing amount of GenAI bullshit in there? 😕
(The obvious answer is "in case there's another Black Library bundle… and it actually has NEW stuff")

Well, I did NOT expect Games Workshop to make a "blushing, spanked-bottom" Nurgling plushy. Especially not with Tomy!
