  1. Hit up some game stores in Oakland County (Michigan) today for $40 of mismatched vintage #TTRPGs.

If the #DaveArneson autograph on that
#Blackmoor book is legit, it's probably worth more than the two dollars the comic book store charged me for it.

  2. My first YouTube video ever and the first in the series of my Blackmoor in the Raw. In this one I am talking with Bob Meyer.

  3. I just finished the book "Blackmoor Foundations" published by the Fellowship of the Thing. GET THIS BOOK! is my simple advice!

If you have any interest at all in the history of the #ttrpg hobby, this book is a must. Reproductions of actual documents chronicling the early Blackmoor campaign, and insights into how David Arneson ran his campaign.

There's so little material published from the early hobby, and much history is unknown or lost. This is a massive help. Boost worthy.

  6. Nach 15 Jahren: Dave Arnesons Blackmoor: Age of the Wolf

    rascal.news/ink-bat-to-publish

"Studio Ink Bat announced today that it will release the final tabletop roleplaying game sourcebook directly overseen by the late Dave Arneson, co-creator of #DnD and the creator of #Blackmoor, the fantasy setting in which the game was first incubated. [...] the book is a fiction of ideas, taking the classic setting’s timeline and sending it centuries into the future."

  7. Reading *The Lost Dungeon of Tonisborg* I'm reminded of the term "jaquaying" a dungeon. Greg made his dungeon in that way before Jennell Jaquay designed her famous works. Having multiple entrances, and direct access to deeper levels clearly was something Dave Arneson and his players had in their designs. Seeing it in this instance really makes me understand what a wonderful design principle it is.

  8. The Egg of Coot from #Blackmoor might just be the thing that I needed to make my Forest of High Adventure campaign for #Kaendor more pulpy and Sword & Sorcery.

(I could put it at the bottom of the Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun, where the original dungeon just leads to a dead end.)
