Héline Chow has a website!
And there's lots of other updates: New Bluesky and Threads accounts for old candidates (not sure if they just got them, or if I only just found them); new candidates; and candidates newly registered with Elections Canada.
No independents or small-party candidates, tho. I believe democracy is always better served if there is a wide spectrum to vote for, even if our electoral system squelches those choices.

And again,
I really can't understand what the point of adding
style="overflow-y: hidden;"
to HTML emails is. It just means that it won't scroll in probably anything but web mail.
This is just pure hostile design (in this case it's a response to a complaint which just rubs it in...)

That is just *chefs kiss* the perfect headline @BrideOfLinux 🤣

The Lawsuit that just would not end.

A6. I've written about this before, but not sure if here or at the old Twitter #BikeSchool .
Bicycling at night, got a bit lost on a dead end street with no lights. Came across a giant skull. At night with no lights it was really spooky.
Finding out it was just a mini golf course decoration was a bit disappointing.

Ahahahaha.
git config --system --add safe.directory /lol.git
(As I want this to work for all users, not just me)
And you can disable the protection by setting the value to '*' (= all are safe).
But you CAN'T set it to /path/to/shared/repos/*, that'd be TOO easy.

#UXP s #photoshop plugins actually bake my noodle sometimes, it keeps trying to leverage the async functionality of javascript for really basic function calls. I just want you to do a sequence of actions, why do I have to keep making async functions that do nothing but await and are only ever executed with await.

It's probably just me. But I do get annoyed when themes and modes get mixed up.

Not just a travel post. This turned out to be a very difficult yet enlightening trip.

Started typing an email response to my client with my take on their request, and nailing down the details.
I'm realizing I'm putting waaaay too much detail in it. It's just too much text.
Time for some wireframes.
(for which, btw, balsamiq is still my favorite tool)

As John Moyne humorously said about spam prevention: "I hate when you're trying to log in to a website and you have to tick every box that contains a picture of a horse that looks like it can talk but just isn't in the mood to right now."
Ha ha.
Here's a serious attempt to rate spam prevention methods:

Sometimes you know exactly how your process works, what you're doing and why. But bringing it down to (digital) paper can be so hard. It's just like every sentence I write sounds like no one will understand. Maybe I shouldn't write too much today... 🤷♀️

(another) instant classic remaster in #uxn's #oekaki
The cyclopean giant swings its silicon sword. She just about ducks. A few strands of hair removed float towards the ground. Close call.
She positions her blade over her shoulder and aims two fingers of the left hand towards the goliath. The monster smirks. It all seems hopeless.
OpenBlade whispers:

This year, I did a 15 minute “lightning talk” at #UXScotland — my first time ever doing something like that — about how D&D has helped me grow my confidence and make myself better at my job.
They've just opened up their call for speakers for the 2024 conference.
Should I put in a proposal to turn it into a full talk (or workshop)? 🤔

Absolutely this. ⬇️ Text editing on mobile is a mess, and tapping the screen often just doesn’t do what you want, whether that’s to place the cursor, pop-up a menu, or select text. #ux #mobileUI #Android #iOS https://social.coop/@scottjenson/111108789598812477
