  4. "As AI tools became more capable, I realized that generating these diagrams wasn’t so hard. AI tools are actually great at creating them, which reduces the effort around both authoring and maintenance. I now have quick reference diagrams for every one of the APIs I support. These QRGs don’t just provide documentation usability; they augment AI chat sessions in helpful ways, especially when you’re constrained by how many tokens you can add into your AI session context.

In this article, I’ll walk through the process of using AI to create a quick reference diagram. I’ll share my thought processes behind the approach, how AI tools are used, and other decision-making. I’ll also show how to provide instruction to an agent to build everything in a single instruction.

Overall, the QRG as a comprehensive tree diagram provides a number of benefits:

    - Enhances API usability for developers. Developers love quick reference guides, and this gives them an easy way to Ctrl+F to find any element and go directly to it.

    - Serves as a concise summary for AI. The QRG offers a compact representation of the API, useful for priming AI tools or navigating large documentation sets within token limits."

Already I am feeling better about XFCE than MATE. The "Ctrl + Alt + t" keyboard shortcut for bringing up a termal works, in MATE it doesn't by default.

Without messing with it too much, it also seems more easily customizable.

    Will report more later.

  9. High CPU usage in Windows 11 usually means a process is using more CPU cycles than it should. It could be due to excessive background apps, pending Windows updates, corrupted system files, or high-resource processes like antivirus scans and indexers.

Fixes for High CPU Usage (Windows 11)

Restart Your PC: This is the quickest way to clear stuck processes and memory.

Use Task Manager: Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc, find processes with high CPU usage, right-click them, and select "End task".

Disable Startup Apps: In Task Manager, go to the "Startup apps" tab, right-click unnecessary apps, and select "Disable".

Update Windows & Drivers: Go to Settings > Windows Update to ensure you have the latest performance patches.

Check Power Settings: Search for "Choose a power plan" in the Control Panel, and select "Balanced" or "High Performance".

Scan for Malware: Run a full scan with Windows Defender, as viruses can cause high CPU usage.

Disable SysMain (Superfetch): Search for "Services," find "SysMain," right-click to stop it, which can reduce background resource usage.

Disable High Precision Event Timer: In Device Manager, find "High precision event timer" under System Devices, right-click, and disable it

  18. First oddity I've noticed in #LinuxMint 22.2. I installed #CopyQ 11.0.0 from the repo. I use Ctrl+Backslash as the key to Show/Hide the Main Window. Mainly I use RightCtrl, but occasionally I use LeftCtrl.

Both used to work on Linux Mint 22.1. Now RightCtrl+Backslash opens the window on one keypress, as expected.

LeftCtrl+Backslash requires a quick double tap to do the same. A single keypress doesn't open CopyQ's main window.

I've assigned some other global commands in CopyQ to have Ctrl in them, and they're similarly biased against LeftCtrl. Odd.

  20. LOL Avoided a dark fate, having booted up into Fedora 42 KDE edition and installed the NVIDIA Drivers...

I followed the wrong instructions that didn't tell me to blacklist the nouveau drivers (it was an old guide). I did remember to CTRL+ALT+F3 to access the TTY to log in and solve my issue by blacklisting nouveau drivers.

Proud of myself for troubleshooting the issue as quickly as I did and not losing hope (I did yell fuck computers at my machine and bugger myself due to being a goose on the loose for good measure).

Now, I can customize my machine!
