  6. Man. I have been wanting one of these #Nuphy Air75’s (actually have wanted a Field75 more) for ages now, ever once they started spamming my FB feed with their damned pretty keebs. Now might be the time. Don’t have any in my collection yet, and hey, Epipennic Anaphylacticity told me I should get more, so.. #mechanicalkeyboards #mechanicalkeyboard #mechkeys amazon.com/dp/B0CMYYKJFN

  8. Had a great time at this year's MN mechanical keyboard meetup and even got to see my friend David and his keyboards in real life!

  9. The “S” key on my DasKeyboard Ultimate I think is finally 100% dead. I’m not sure what broke after taking it apart, I don’t have a soldering iron, knowledge, or know anyone with either that could help me revive it. Back on a backup keyboard I haven’t used in ages. It’s so weird to have prints again.

The DasKeyboard was (and maybe still is?) my dream keyboard. I was lucky to have gotten it used. I enjoy reuse and repair. It lasted me for many years. I prefer blank keycaps. I enjoy the built-in USB hub. The few media keys have come in handy.

I’d ask for recommendations (preferably EU-made), but it doesn’t seem like blank keycaps are really a thing anyone else offers? And my skills going internet-shopping are pretty much non-existent, too. Should I just get the same one again?

  10. :boost_ok:
    So, looking at
#MechanicalKeyboards, there's two from #EPOMaker the #Galaxy100 and #TH108v2Pro that look like the right place for me to start. #KeyChron also appears to have some (more pricy)options

    Unfortunately the
#Pi500+ is lacking some features of a fully contained system keyboard like usb-c display out and a full numpad.
Custom keyboards are a wide topic, so if anyone wants to share some advice getting my first(second?) Mechanical
    #keyboard, its appreciated!

Edit: oh, my only other experience has been with a
#motospeed #GK89 that showed up at work unclaimed. I like it, I like the clickyness, the back like, numpad, size. I just feel there's something more suited for me then this random acquisition.

  11. I've got a keyboard, the NocFree &: the firmware is shit. I'm pretty sure they don't have a firmware dev and just thought they could get AI to do it.

My question: I have .uf2 files for a ZMK build of the keyboard and dongle. Can I just put the parts into DFU mode and copy the .uf2 files over? Shouldn't that get me the ZMK firmware for the board?

  12. Commitment issues? We get it. 😉

With hot-swappable switches, you don't have to marry one typing feel forever. Clicky on Monday, tactile on Wednesday, silent on Friday—zero soldering required.

Pop ’em out. Plug ’em in. Keep hacking. 🛠️⚡

  13. On this day, one year ago. Bought the surprisingly well-built, aesthetically pleasing #8BitDo #C64 retro keeb. Strongly considering another, buss.. ze Phoenix can fly only ven iss fezzers are grown.. #mechanicalkeyboards #mechanicalkeyboard #mechkeys

  14. aficionados out there, I need your !
    I
My daily driver is an , that my kid wants next month or so, when mid school will start and I'll probably need to buy a PC for that...
So, I'm planning to buy a new Pro BT (yes, ) from online store, for me.
    Opinions on that keyboard?
I could actually buy another identical ErgoDash but I was thinking to try something lighter and smaller.
    Any feedback?

  15. Haven't had a paper printer in forever so nabbed one of them color laser ones (cartridges are a scam and ecotanks ain't much cheaper), which coupled with sublimation paper allows one to do... among other stuff, dyesub keycaps for my custom keyboard!

  17. Cool concept, the $230 #OpenAI #Codex Micro. Couldn't resist giving #PolyKybd the same powers in under an hour. 😅
You can even read the agent status, no color guessing 😉
Cost: $0. No extra hardware, just firmware. #MechanicalKeyboards

  18. Forget “standard layout.” UHK doesn’t really do standard.

You can run it split or not split, fine-tune ergonomics with risers, swap modules, and redesign your thumb clusters around how you actually work—typing, gaming, or living inside macros and shortcuts.

Layer systems on top of that, and the keyboard turns into a fully programmable control surface instead of a fixed input device.

  19. 👋🏼 now it's easier to see what's left: mintlodica.com/collections/wha

i'd say it's bittersweet, but that would be a lie. super ready to be done. lmao

help me clear it out. 🙏🏻 esp if you know folks who'd like the light blue magic girl set.

  20. New Mechanical Keyboards from AMIGAstore for the A1200

After extensive research and development, AMIGAstore has launched a new series of high-quality mechanical keyboards, designed by Sergiusz specifically for the Commodore AMIGA A1200. These keyboards offer a superior experience compared to the original membrane keyboards, making them an ideal choice for those seeking
improved precision, durability, and tactile feedback, or simply looking to replace their old original keyboard. Thanks to mechanical switch technology, each key is equipped with individual switches, ensuring greater reliability and much more precise performance.

One of the standout models is the Kailh Brown, which offers tactile feedback without an audible click. With an actuation force of 45g and a total travel distance of 4.0 mm, Kailh Brown switches provide a smooth bump sensation upon reaching the actuation point. These switches have an impressive durability of approximately 70 million
keystrokes, ensuring a long lifespan for those who want a keyboard that will last for years.

Another available model is the Kailh Red, which is characterized by its linear action. With an actuation force of 45g and a total travel of 4.0 mm, Kailh Red switches offer smooth and uninterrupted movement, free of bumps or resistance. Like the Kailh Brown, these switches also have a 70-million-keystroke lifespan, making them a highly durable option for A1200 users looking for a fluid and precise experience. The Kailh Blue model, on the other hand, stands out for its tactile feedback combined with a distinctive click sound. With an actuation force of 50g and a total travel
distance of 4.0 mm, these switches produce a characteristic clicking sound when pressed, providing a clear auditory and tactile indication that the key has been activated. Just like the other models, Kailh Blue switches also have a 70-millionkeystroke lifespan, ensuring long-lasting and reliable performance.

AMIGAstore‘s new mechanical keyboards for the A1200 represent a significant improvement over old membrane keyboards. Featuring high-quality switches, users
can experience a more precise and satisfying typing response, enhancing both functionality and comfort. These keyboards are designed to be a durable, high-quality upgrade, perfect for those looking to enhance their AMIGA experience.

With these new mechanical keyboards, AMIGAstore and Sergiusz have successfully
created a premium alternative that not only meets expectations but also significantly
enhances the overall user experience in terms of both performance and durability. If
you’re looking to upgrade your Commodore AMIGA A1200, these keyboards are the
    perfect choice.

  21. @BonfireAtNight you might consider custom #mechanicalkeyboards with #ZMK or #QMK now :)

I've been using CAPsLock for layout switch for ages on my #WASD keyboards; now as I moved to custom mechanical keyboards; #ZSAPlank -> #BlankSlate -> #Corne ; mapped bottom left key(third layer key on first two and shift on corne) to do it on tap as well.
Though as now moving to #homerow, thinking I can utilize that key for something else :)

P.S. check CAPs_Word on ZMK or QMK :)
