Situation: my 10yo kid will begin mid-school in September and wants my #ErgoDash (see picture) for his own computer (that I still have to buy!).
ErgoDash is currently configured with a QWERTY layout, customized with Italian accented letters as per picture.
Should I reconfigure it to Colemak Mod-DH, instead, before giving him the keeb?

The first picture shows my daily keyboard. It was done as temporary and serves me for over a year. But slowly dies.

The second picture is a WIP layout for the new one. Still will be cheap, but with PCB, hotswap switches and case. There will be encoder in top right corner.

Have to think what else to change in it. Suggestions anyone?

I'd been thinking it would be nice to have a decent fidget, and I found this little mechanical keyboard strip that should be very nice.

It came with Kailh Arctic Fox clicky switches (which I wanted to try), but I'm also giving it a go with U4Ts — it's easy to switch them out.

The keycaps are also extras from the set I'm using for my main keyboard, which had pink/green options for ESC and a few others.

I am looking for a low profile mechanical keyboard with either red silent, clear, or silver style switches. If it resembles apples keyboard its a plus. #mechanicalkeyboards

It is for my wife and she has the following requirements also: NO weird split thing like yours! I want all the keys numpad can be exclude, not compact, and I don't want a weird layout! The last thing I am interpreting like she want ISO layout.

These Drop ENTR TKL keyboards were $29 a day or two ago. Excellent value. Finally tore down my 12x5 ortho keyboard and figured out why the 'a' key was not cooperating. For some reason, there seemed to be some debris around that key's solder joints. As counterintuitive as this sounds for a circuit board, I wiggled it ever so slightly, cleaned out whatever dust was there, and now it's back making contact - yay!

Now I get to re-train my muscle memory *back* to this keyboard from my 12x4 layout, which is missing a whole number row. Even the arrow keys have a different layout, so that's gonna be fun.
