  1. Man. I have been wanting one of these #Nuphy Air75’s (actually have wanted a Field75 more) for ages now, ever once they started spamming my FB feed with their damned pretty keebs. Now might be the time. Don’t have any in my collection yet, and hey, Epipennic Anaphylacticity told me I should get more, so.. #mechanicalkeyboards #mechanicalkeyboard #mechkeys amazon.com/dp/B0CMYYKJFN

  6. Finally tore down my 12x5 ortho keyboard and figured out why the 'a' key was not cooperating. For some reason, there seemed to be some debris around that key's solder joints. As counterintuitive as this sounds for a circuit board, I wiggled it ever so slightly, cleaned out whatever dust was there, and now it's back making contact - yay!

Now I get to re-train my muscle memory *back* to this keyboard from my 12x4 layout, which is missing a whole number row. Even the arrow keys have a different layout, so that's gonna be fun.

  7. Finally calling this done! Say hello to the HellSplit a hand-wired, asymmetric 40% split #ortholinear keyboard with vertical column stagger and two rotary encoders. Powered by a pair of Raspberry Pi Pico's #RP2040 and #KMK firmware

  8. Finished my new keyboard! it’s an evolution of my old keyboard with some function keys and media keys moved to the top right so I stop pressing mute instead of ctrl! It is a little taller than I like but the design I layered so I think I can shave off at least 5mm without too much hassle (probably more!)

  9. New Mechanical Keyboards from AMIGAstore for the A1200

After extensive research and development, AMIGAstore has launched a new series of high-quality mechanical keyboards, designed by Sergiusz specifically for the Commodore AMIGA A1200. These keyboards offer a superior experience compared to the original membrane keyboards, making them an ideal choice for those seeking
improved precision, durability, and tactile feedback, or simply looking to replace their old original keyboard. Thanks to mechanical switch technology, each key is equipped with individual switches, ensuring greater reliability and much more precise performance.

One of the standout models is the Kailh Brown, which offers tactile feedback without an audible click. With an actuation force of 45g and a total travel distance of 4.0 mm, Kailh Brown switches provide a smooth bump sensation upon reaching the actuation point. These switches have an impressive durability of approximately 70 million
keystrokes, ensuring a long lifespan for those who want a keyboard that will last for years.

Another available model is the Kailh Red, which is characterized by its linear action. With an actuation force of 45g and a total travel of 4.0 mm, Kailh Red switches offer smooth and uninterrupted movement, free of bumps or resistance. Like the Kailh Brown, these switches also have a 70-million-keystroke lifespan, making them a highly durable option for A1200 users looking for a fluid and precise experience. The Kailh Blue model, on the other hand, stands out for its tactile feedback combined with a distinctive click sound. With an actuation force of 50g and a total travel
distance of 4.0 mm, these switches produce a characteristic clicking sound when pressed, providing a clear auditory and tactile indication that the key has been activated. Just like the other models, Kailh Blue switches also have a 70-millionkeystroke lifespan, ensuring long-lasting and reliable performance.

AMIGAstore‘s new mechanical keyboards for the A1200 represent a significant improvement over old membrane keyboards. Featuring high-quality switches, users
can experience a more precise and satisfying typing response, enhancing both functionality and comfort. These keyboards are designed to be a durable, high-quality upgrade, perfect for those looking to enhance their AMIGA experience.

With these new mechanical keyboards, AMIGAstore and Sergiusz have successfully
created a premium alternative that not only meets expectations but also significantly
enhances the overall user experience in terms of both performance and durability. If
you’re looking to upgrade your Commodore AMIGA A1200, these keyboards are the
    perfect choice.

  10. Does anyone know where I could get a set of rainbow keycaps (ideally quite pastel) for my ErgoDox EZ?

Really struggling to find anything. Happy to cobble something together by buying the same set multiple times if needed.

  11. So I've been mapping this old Japanese keyboard and it seems to have a 19x8 matrix?! There's three demuxes driving the switches (3 + 8 + 8 pins used) and one mux reading the output. Fujitsu engineers, please explain what was going on. My only has 24 digital pins... ;_;

  12. Ok, so how exactly do I start mapping out where the keyboard matrix column & row pins are that I should tap into? :blobcatnervous: 😅 I guess it's just a long process of beeping with the multimeter?

  13. Next hack project is waiting. :) This will be a Christmas gift to my brother, making a USB conversion of it. At least that's the plan, you know they don't always plan out as expected. :D

  14. 3 years ago I didn't have a single and the height of my typing experience was a 90's beige Key Tronic rubber dome. Then I got a discarded Cherry from work that I restored, and it bit me… Family photo update.
