Why write it without having any real-world experience or credentials? This is a disservice to victim-survivors and those who support them.
Bonus question: Why does this sh*t get funded when I get rejections because of "many, competing high-quality applications?"

Re-sharing a guide I published last year. It offers practical and granular suggestions for victim-survivors of image-based abuse, especially those in the global majority world, to remove the violative content while safeguarding their privacy and identity online.
A few survivors have told me they appreciate the guide. One said she wishes she had access to this resource when she was dealing with her situation a few years ago.

Similar incidents happened last year in a cafe in Bengaluru and a university in Andhra Pradesh. And these are just the ones that made it to media reports and police records.

The Tools to Address Known Exploitation by Immobilizing Technological Deepfakes on Websites and Networks Act ("TAKE IT DOWN Act") is a bad idea, and probably unconstitutional.
In all of Congress, only 2 people voted against it.NCII is bad, but just because a bill combats a legitimate problem does not mean it should pass.
Now, our hope lies with Donald Trump - who supports the bill - and the judiciary.
