I guess what I'm trying to say is FIRST gives us the opportunity to meet so many fantastic people. That would have just been anther person on the plane. So many people stop to talk with us, and it's astonishing to find out how many people are excited about robots, and how many people were in FIRST.

Ein Blick zurück: Diese Folie stammt aus einem Vortrag von Björn H. Wiik beim #TESLA Collaboration Board Meeting am 13. September 1995.
Sie zeigt den Entwurf des Freie-Elektronen-Lasers, der wenige Jahre später als
FLASH in Hamburg Realität wurde.
Geplant war, den Elektronenstrahl aus der TESLA-Testanlage in einen 10–25 m langen Undulator zu schicken – das Grundprinzip eines #SASE #FEL, bei dem Elektronen selbstverstärkend kohärentes Licht erzeugen.
Nur fünf Jahre später gelang das „First Lasing“ – ein Meilenstein der Photonenwissenschaft.1/2

@Lamal Ich bin vom Raspi weg zu einem #Thinclient ein HP T620. x86-64 4 Kerne, 4 GB, eine M.2 SATA SSD. Warum? Ein solides Gehäuse in dem alles drin ist, 3-4 Watt idle, 10 Watt unter Last, vergleichbar mit Raspi. Und volle x86-Kompatibilität und somit mehr/aktuellere Software (hier: ubuntu Server 24.04)
Macht bei mir DNS, DHCP, PXE-Server, Webseite mit mySQL für Bastelprojekte, DLNA-Mediaserver, Nextcloud für 4 Pers., Wireguard, SMB... und ist Leistungsmäßig absolut ausreichend.

Had my first decent Goodwill haul this year with an offering plate for Lucifer, plug tower, MagSafe 2 charger, and a Logitech M570 with the dongle!
I also popped up at Value Village (big surprise, right?) and came out with a new cover for my gifted Kindle Oasis, an Amazon Echo Glow, and a dual-wielding monitor arm!
All in all I'm really pleased with my finds, maybe I'll post pictures later.

I've been thinking about getting an FRFR Speaker Cab for a good long while. (FRFR = Full Range Flat Response, so perfect for guitar modeling amps and e-drums, etc.)
My main contenders so far were the Line6 Powercab and the Fender Tone Master FR-12, but alas they're both US companies, so out of the question at this point in time. Now I'm buying a Laney LFR instead. -

Went and got myself a new tablet in the form of a Latitude 7275. The screen is the first thing that stood out, it's bright and the viewing angle is fabulous. I might write a longer review later, once I've become more antiquated with it. Otherwise I'm quiet pleased with it on this note.
