I've been thinking about getting an FRFR Speaker Cab for a good long while. (FRFR = Full Range Flat Response, so perfect for guitar modeling amps and e-drums, etc.)
My main contenders so far were the Line6 Powercab and the Fender Tone Master FR-12, but alas they're both US companies, so out of the question at this point in time. Now I'm buying a Laney LFR instead.

Line6 POD X3 Live (aka. the pedal version)

I don't think I'm going to have any success with that software. Seems to recognize the device, but ... i'm not sure it's talking to "home base" correctly, so to speak. Looks like Win XP styling in the software. haha.

I haven't used anything like this in 20 years, which is when this particular item probably came out. 25 yrs this thing probably. haha. it's crazy though, you wouldn't be able to tell the diff (to a "real professionally mic and amp combo setup and properly tuned to its env, etc.") unless you have extraordinary natural abilities of your auditory senses, which some people do possess of course.

EDIT: just found this, but... anyone know from experience?

#Enbridge #pipeline spills 70,000 gallons of oil in #Wisconsin

OAKLAND, Wis. (AP) — "Roughly 70,000 gallons (264,978 litres) of oil from a pipeline spilled into the ground in Wisconsin, officials said.

"The problem was discovered Nov. 11 in Jefferson County, 60 miles (96.5 kilometers) west of Milwaukee, by an #EnbridgeEnergy technician, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported, citing a federal accident report.

"Enbridge said the spill on the company’s #Line6 was caused by a faulty connection on a pump transfer pipe at the Enbridge Cambridge Station. It was an estimated 1,650 barrels, which is equivalent to about 70,000 gallons.

"'Investigation and remediation began immediately upon discovery and continues. Removal of impacted soils is continuing,' spokesperson Juli Kellner said Saturday, adding that 60% of the spill has been removed through excavation.

"Kellner said the spill was immediately reported to regulators, though the report by a federal pipeline safety agency said the line likely was leaking for an 'extended period of time.'

"'We are working with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources as cleanup and restoration proceed,' Kellner said.

"Line 6 is a 465-mile (748.3-kilometer) pipeline carrying crude oil from Superior, Wisconsin, to a terminal near Griffith, Indiana, according to a company map."

Hmmm, was trying to update my HX Stomp to 3.8, and now it gets stuck when booting up (says 3.71.0). The HX Edit program said some sort of error happened.....and the steps I followed resulted in this......

Grrrrr…..support ticket filed.

Line 6 updated the Helix family with a few new amps and one of them is the EVH 5150III.

I'm not giving it away but I tested a first draft of settings against what I've been using (also won't say :blobfox3c: but I'll just say "it's a very [or was] polarizing effects unit"

Any #bass players out there using the #line6 HX Stomp? I got mine (XL) yesterday. I was prepared for a longer ramp-up period, and didn't get disappointed 😉

First thing I struggle with is gain control, both when using headphones and when recording via USB. All factory presets seem very different when it comes to output loudness. I just learned about the output block at the right end of the signal chain. Seems necessary to adjust presets carefully so they can be used together, like in a set.
