I am a solitary #pagan at this stage of my life. Tend closer to #SlavicPaganism in some eclectic and below-radar way.
I observe some special days like recent Winter Solstice and other steps of Circle of the Year, for example.
I do various "not science-proven" things sometimes, some call them rituals. Or even #witchcraft but I guess all that "too fancy names" for small things I do.I just hope one day times will come when people of all faiths will live in peace.

I think that historically-proven Slavic paganism included these aspects:
⭐ just few Gods & Goddesses. No complex family three & mythology about it
⭐ There is no strong belief in Fate-like thing
⭐ No special god(dess) about (alive!) Moon
⭐ no astrology
⭐ no chakras or alike
⭐ no meditation practices
⭐ no widespread magic about runes
⭐ only few ways of divination
⭐ all or most Gods & rituals around agriculture
⭐ big role of Ancestors & spirits of land
⭐ no creepy Hell -
Took look at an article about Slavic Pagans Gods panteon at Academia dot edu. It was a translation to English of a russian author, who repeat a tale that Slavs did not had own script or even did not use ANY script before Cyril and Mephodiy created the Glagolitsa alphabet. As soon as I seen this sentence, I stopped reading that article.

The more I read about pre-Christian Slavic beliefs and magic/witchcraft practices, the more interesting it become.
#Veles there is not a pure "evil devil" ™ but a complicated figure who can do some good or bring some harm, if desires or find it necessary.
It is closer to how Nature works and behaves, compared with strict separation of formalized Good vs Evil we taught from Christianity. -

My #WinterSolstice treat for myself this year is some #vegan #TurkishDelight.
Like many kids raised in conservative Christian communities who read #TheChroniclesOfNarnia by #CSLewis, I was fascinated by the idea of a candy so good that Edmund would sell out his siblings for it. And since I have a penchant for gummies, when I finally tried it, I thought it was fantastic and that Edmund maybe had a point.
The deep irony there is that now, as a #Slavic #pagan, my patron goddess is #Morena, the goddess of winter and death and basically the White Witch. So maybe I was drawn toward #witchcraft earlier than I thought? 😆
Anyway, this is just a little reminder to all the other folks in the northern hemisphere to do something sweet for yourself this Winter Solstice!
